Trouble is they’re Scandinavian…where a pint of beer costs a small mortgage. Possibly quite out of touch with global pricing
But yes I expect to see many threads. Let’s try and keep boosting the first one someone already posted though. This needs a lot of attention as it’s a disgrace.
These “skins” should have been given to us in the new event or havoc mode, i would love to have that “new” power sword (it has been in the game file since day one or close), but for my own respect and other’s i will not buy any of this nonsense.
Yeah I’ve wanted a black pickaxe so badly. Been waiting for one the entire time since their launch.
I’m not buying this though out of principle. Not a chance.
There are 20 weapons families.
And we get 12 weapon skin…
Miss 8 to be all weapons.
I have also imperial pack. But still I miss a black brauto. I don’t think I have a black AIG also. These 2 are really missing.
And I have let go the black skin for revolvers (cause I was boycotting Fatshark, but it seems we were few to boycott them)
Price gouging aside (which ticks me off) … what really bothers me with their entire weapon cosmetic setup is that the skins don’t respect the weapon marks. It is REALLY lazy and crappy.
Maybe I like the model / look of weapon mark A, but when I apply skin X to it, now it suddenly looks like weapon mark B. It’s so stupid.
It’s made even more ridiculous because the Weapon Customization mod clearly has no problem applying skins/textures independently from the underlying model.
@FatsharkStrawHat - Can you pin this as something for FS devs to look into and resolve.
ALSO - we still don’t have the reddish and bluish commissary skins for weapons released after launch. Seriously… the cosmetic situation is a joke and a mess.
More broadly on cosmetics - I’m refusing to buy anything period until the shop changes to provide an open catalog. The premium currency obfuscations are bad enough, but the FOMO rotation is just ridiculous. Using the “View Premium Cosmetics” mods, there’s a bunch of stuff on each class I’d like to buy, but who knows when it will be in the shop. And even if it does come back into rotation, I’m not giving FS a dime more as any sort of validation of their shop practices.
I’ve spent considerably more money buying cosmetics for VT2 (on multiple accounts as gifts for family members, etc.) and Deep Rock Galactic, despite far less hours played, because the premium cosmetic shop, quality, and pricing is infinitely better and more respectful to me as a customer.
I already said it by the past. But I had the feeling that I was alone
Here the thread:
So I fully agree with you… Skins are expensive and done by a lazy team.
Yes… this is incredibly dumb…
Damn… even worse
I’ve seen the threads on here and on Reddit. I’ve made the team aware and I’ve taken a lot of the comments and shared them with the team, as well.
Thank you StrawHat. Much appreciated.
These recolours belong in the commissary for dockets. As do any recolours of vanilla skins.
As @Mezmorki says, the commodores vestures should be opened up like in vt2 so that everything is available.
Let’s put this to bed once and for all. Fix the cosmetics and fix the absurd prices.
Thanks
Thanks for passing infos…
For me the biggest problems are:
Please brings us a system where we could recolor cosmetics and weapon skins. I accept that there would be premium color patterns, but simple colors should be in commissary
And remove these rotations… we are really tired to ask for this…
The kicker is that some weapon skins do only change the colour and material, and not the mark of the weapon. No idea why it is so inconsistent.
As I pointed, the only cosmetics that had this behabior (respecting weapons variants) has been the ones of the imperial DLC pack.
The Twitch drop ones respect weapon variant too.
Cosmetics could be an end game grind but they really dropped the ball in the cosmetic area.
do you even understand why people buy paid skins in the first place? especially in this game, where it’s first-person and you can’t even see your own appearance. even so, most people buy skins because they want to show off their cool skins to others - they want to be seen. on the other hand, less distinctive recolor skins are hard to notice at a glance, especially in the middle of a fight.
I understand that GW approval is necessary, so it’s not possible to have overly flashy skins, but at the very least, premium cosmetics should avoid simple recolors or copy-paste icons. they should be more unique and stand out. additionally, if players could customize the color of the skins they purchase in-game, I think they would sell even more.
Wow, so it isnt even at least consistent? That is craaaazy
You can’t know if something like that applies
Considering what DoW (1, 2 and 3) and SM2 have as system (you can freely recolor armors), I doubt that Game workshop give an approbation on skins.
They just take money, and at final we, customers, pay more because of this.
Again - the weapon customization mod does allow you to apply textures separately from the model uniformly. And that mod was built on a framework that already existed in the game.
So there is no reason why textures can’t be properly applied to certain weapon models - maybe with a few components of models over-written when there is an “enhanced” non-standard model part.
Frankly it’s a pretty high level of callous disregard that they don’t respect the variant of a weapon even if the model changes, doubly so for the commisary skins that should be only changing the paint job on the weapons. The trinkets suck and you can’t plaster purity seals all over the weapon as you consecrate it. Consecrating should have also unlocked cosmetic customisation for the weapon. Litanies, iconography of saints, prayers, seals, all sorts.
