If somebody can do the maths (math in freedom words) for the inflation in the value of a single skin in those early 800 packs vs them now in these new 2900 packs I’d be grateful. it’d be obviously absurd.
problem…
Inflation differs from where you live.
In Europe we had low inflation for the last months. I doubt Russia has the same low inflation.
And I guess that the actual inflation has something to do with the new elected US president
StrawHat just replied in another thread
MadMartigan beat me to it! I was about to comment here to let y’all know I’ve been hearing y’all today and taking it all down.
Original skin bundles: 40 skins, for 800 aquila - 20 apiece, but you could buy individual skins for 100.
New skin bundles: five weapons, on second glance the 900 Aquila packs are all just the same things as in the bundle for some reason, for 2900 aquila. 580 apiece.
Wow. My math was way off.
This isn’t four or five times as expensive.
This is OVER TWENTY TIMES AS EXPENSIVE.
ooft noise intensifies
Strawhat, I love you, you’re great.
But.
This feedback has been sustained and noted for months. Nobody likes the store. Nobody likes the high prices in the store.
You can take it down as much as you want, but unless your bosses do something it’s not going to achieve jack-all.
They should charge more for crap black recolors, because anyone buying black recolors of weapons does not deserve money and will eventually buy them at any price because they’re too busy being bad at the game to reflect on if it’s worth it.
Or I did not understand what you wanted to say, or something is wrong in your comment.
What?
Jakal is actually having a good take and saying ‘if you’re going to be a brainless whale at least lose even more money’.
That’s nice and all but funny enough we’re not being heard about the phone scam tier pricing and the abyssmal quality.
Exactly my feeling about these prices.
Lazy and greedy. At least open the catalogue so we can choose how we’re going to be ripped off.
Agreed. I for one thank the whales for bankrolling my free updates to this game. These higher prices are an opportunity for them to give even more to the people making this game.
Charging premium prices in hard cash for a 5 minute recolor job by a Chinese e-sweatshop is certainly…bold.
Not a move I’m going to reward by spending money on, but definitely a bold one.
Some of these are kinda neat (power sword), and they pretty much all have little ornaments that aren’t available on other pieces, so they aren’t just recolors…but gotDAMN is it subtle. And for the prices, it’s really rough.
Although I greatly prefer this monetization model over the original VT2 one of selling actual playable content, it’s exhausting seeing the twice-monthly hate train roll through. I don’t know if there’s a workable price point that most people would actually be OK with…and I’m sure there’s some internal calculus that justifies these prices in some way…but the ill will these prices garner cannot be worth it.
I really hope FS finds some way to lower prices (and rework the whole store honestly). Just do discounts!
Either like less than a dollar apiece in real money, or Aquilas being earnable at a rate good enough that about 10 hours of playtime (consistently playing more than an hour a day for a week) = one full outfit.
