New Class Dec 2nd?

According to this short by JoPlaysGames, that she says up front FS asked her to make, the new class drops Dec 2nd.
I believe she’s a well respected Darktide lore investigator and has no history of bunk claims I’m aware of.

I thought it was just an anouncement.

Not that I’m complaining.

Announce - 11 Nov

Release - 02 Dec (according to Jo)

Puts on tin psykana hat

Owlcat is releasing Dark Heresy beta on Dec. 6.

Last class release was a tie-in with Owlcat’s Rogue Trader Arbrites DLC.

Thus it’ll be a tie-in with Dark Heresy.

Dark Heresy’s “mascot” character is a Kroot Kill-Broker.

A character class labeled “Broker” has been datamined.

Kroot Kill-Broker confirmed.

I look forward to committing xenos-heresy (is it heresy if Grendel says it’s okay to love a Cannibal Xeno-Chicken?).

This may as well be mandarin to me, but it seems sound. I’m all in on your theory.

  • Looking at their history, Fatshark never talks about or teases content that’s still far off.

  • Class details and developer interviews are always released at the same time.

  • Considering the DLC class release in June, there has been at least roughly six months of development time.

Taking all of this into account, it seems reasonable to expect the DLC class to release in December.

Kroot are a vassal race to the Tau and basically serves as the Tau’s melee units.

Pretty pictures to go along with your funny words, sah.

I’d be pleasantly surprised, but I don’t think FS is gonna make different models than humans anymore.

Ah, thx… Didn’t really put those dates in my calendar yet

Well, that’s a lot quicker then I would have guessed.

this is what brave browser said on the subject:

The Kroot Kill-Broker is a character archetype from the Warhammer 40,000 universe, specifically part of the Farstalker Kinband kill team, which is a mercenary unit of Kroot warriors. These Kill-Brokers are leaders of farstalker Kinbands, tasked with breaking off from their war spheres to find potential genetic stock to return to their kindreds. They are known for their role in tracking down targets, often using their keen senses to detect genetic material, and are frequently associated with the Imperium’s Inquisition, which employs xenos mercenaries like the Kroot for specialized missions.

In the context of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, speculation has arisen that the upcoming second class may be a Kroot-based character, potentially a Kill-Broker, based on datamined codenames indicating a “broker” class. This theory is supported by Owlcat Games’ emphasis on a Kroot lady companion in promotional material for The Dark Heresy game, suggesting a possible joint release. The Kroot Kill-Broker’s abilities in the Kill Team game include strategic ploys like “Prey,” which enhances ranged weapons, and “Bound,” which improves mobility. Their lore aligns with themes of scavenging, tracking, and genetic acquisition, fitting the game’s narrative and the “rations event” hinted at in recent developer commentary.

While some community members speculate that the class could be a Kroot Kill-Broker due to the “broker” codename and thematic connections, others argue against it due to technical challenges like height class issues. Despite this, the Kroot class remains a popular theory, with potential for unique weapons such as Kroot rifles, scatterguns, and tanglebombs, which can be used in melee. The class is also speculated to be released around December 2, 2025, based on the game’s patch schedule and the official release date of Darktide on November 30, 2025.

Holy cow a Kroot would be amazing! I didn’t have that on my bingo card!

I’m not holding my breath but any type of xeno would be so cool :crossed_fingers:

For Kroot you need not only different non-human animations but also voices.

My bet it’s gonna be admech, in fact i was expecting for them to drop admech before arbites.

We probably should look at hte tabletop. Both Owlcat and FS droped arbites DLC short after new arbites Teamkill release. So GW pushes some staff there.

I don’t understand why people are so surprised to hear this. We only had one new class in DT, and it released a month after the reveal. So why are people baffled when it’s revealed that another new class will drop in 3 weeks after the teaser and not “long after the new update drops” or “after the end of the year”. FS made Arbites in 3 months, and they worked Emperor knows how long on this new class.

There’s clearly no need to be so apprehensive or pessimistic. People really need to get off doomium. It’s not good for their health.

I’ll actually f*cking crash out if Darktide adds playable Xenos scum, and Tau-affiliated Xenos scum no less, before playable Admech or even playable Hive Gangers. That’s literally the worst possible outcome and I’m reporting anyone who disagrees to the relevant Imperial authorities.

Darktide is the HUMAN experience of 40K and not that of the Xenos.

I remember Outcast Engineer dropped AT the reveal. It was same day, zero lead time.
