Quite agree with this. Played the new Inferno auric last night and it definitely felt easier than usual, but we were playing very well together too.

Might be a little off topic or the wrong place to put this, but the new Inferno mission type is cool AF. Really enjoyed it.
It was absolutely bonkers seeing so many flamers and flame bombers too.

Same here.
I played some games earlier and a lot of the map feel empty, scanning tasks go uncontested etc.

I don’t want Havoc…

I want Auric…

To be honest, Auric is not the best game mode I have seen. But at least I was used to it.
As I said numerous times, I would have preferred less elites that mean more threat. Elite resistance was something good in my mind. I don’t like also too many specials (waves are NOT the problem, but seeing 3 trapper one above the other or 3 snipers is not good, waves of mutants/dogs are perfect).
However, we don’t have this…

But why they have pushed for such changes in Auric?? I have not seen ANY player asking to reduce the difficulty.
And Havoc is SO restrictive, that it is not for me. I don’t want to be limited in my builds. Don’t tell me that you can if you practice… I would agree, but I won’t do it because Havoc is just a torture for me. The lack of ammo is a problem for me. The fading light means bubble / chorus / voc. All things I don’t like…
In fact, they cannot change Havoc to something that will please me, and I don’t even ask it to them. The game mode is appreciated by a part of the community, I don’t see a reason to break this to adapt it to players that don’t appreciate it.

Bring back old Auric director… OR tell us what is your vision.
Again, we run into the same problem… Fatshark never communicate. We did not know they had the intention to change that. In ANY other game with a community, there would be a communication explaining what is their vision. They would start by summarizing what players asked, and what would be their answer.
Here, we had no information. We discover this in a patch note. And the worse, so few words that we DON’T KNOW at all, what was changed. This kind of behavior is totally WRONG. And you wonder why I repeat every time that Fatshark doesn’t know how to communicate? I would even say that their way to communicate is a problem (failure?).

Hi all, I’ve been informed that HI-STG was not working properly until yesterday at 16:00 CEST. Please let us know if you’ve continued to notice issues since then. In addition, it’s worth noting that if you had Quickplayed, you may have been backfilled in to a campaign mission, some of which are easier than usual.

I was playing an Auric inferno mission and it sure as heck was pretty intense, can’t remember if it was after the fix though.

Only thing that seem weird is sometimes bot slot won’t get fill by people at all. There was one time where I started a game with other dude and we were pretty much playing duo through the entire mission.

I just chalked that up to the arbites leveling push, not a particular matchmaking problem. Should alleviate entirely by the weekend if that theory is correct. Havoc season reset doesn’t help either.

I just ran 2 aurics back to back.

  1. First was a QP where I was indeed dropped into a campaign mission. I have to ask you talk to the team to see if this can be removed. Having this possible means that my choice to skip the campaign is negated against my will. However, I wouldn’t mind that if these missions were not what seems to be Low Intensity Auric as they are snooze fests spawn wise. Either fix to this issue is acceptable for me.

  2. I purposefully ran a second, Hi Intensity Dark Communion Auric before coming here. It was also nowhere near old baseline Auric Damnation, let alone baked in Hi Int or double Hi Int (if that’s what Hi Int on a mission now means, still unclear on that).

I hope you can get more feedback from the team on these two issues and give us another update.

Hi Int or Hi Int Shock Troop Gauntlet? There’ still a working diff I assume ?
I still don’t see why HiSTG isn’t the baseline for Aurics.

The update dev blog says that “Hi Int” is the new auric baseline (all of them are old Hi-int) and the new Hi Int is still to come. But Auric missions can spawn with only Hi-Int as the modifier. So it’s unclear what this means currently. HISTG is still a thing, but I have yet to see any appreciable difference in any modifier.

But it’s clear that there are multiple things going wrong in the background. Audio cues/dialogue aren’t working atm, animations are off, servers feel laggy, spawns are off. So I’m sure (hope) they are running lots of diagnostics on things at the moment.

I did a HISTG just to check myself. It felt slightly better but still not up to snuff.

And these new servers are pretty bad. I’ve been lucky enough to not have normal problems since I’ve been playing and these new servers have given me consistent issues now like I used to see frequent posts about. But it’s always at least one other person in my party as well.

maybe for the same reason there isnt an auric maelstrom around by default, like it used to be.

But yeah, I’d feel cheated too, this is disappointing.
My buddy slowed down my levelling so I’,m stuck in Heresy.

With the maps now expiring in 3.16 hours vs 24 and this…break the locks 2.0, unlock the map selection (at least in private matches( yes I know I harp on it)!
And why can’t ALL the maps be eligible for ALL the mutators combos?
We need MORE map options, not fewer.

had buddy pirx speed along, usually 15 minutes a damnation, everything “below” we didnt even pay attention :smile:

couldnt bring myself to artificially and needlessly bloat the time by having randoms fall over every railing and dying to every poxer :nauseated_face:

while i think its a good thing (not perfect but better than nothing) to let fresh accounts get through the learning curve, by force if necessary, those with 1000s on hours and true level should be free of choice from the getgo.

imagine my “joy” having finished this slog “finally i can start recording some sheet for content” and be greeted with a no maelstrom map pool…
