Suggestion: Make all Damnation Aurics High Shock Troop Gauntlet or allow public custom instances

Suggestion: Make all Damnation Aurics High Shock Troop Gauntlet, and move the other modifies, including Hi Int to regular Damnation.
The other modes are just too plain for Aurics and typically take 3/5 of the map rotation slots.

Alternatively, you can just allow custom public server instances, if only for HiSTG, so we can go through maps instead of running out HiSTGs and Maelstroms to play.

Don’t Auric missions have increased spawns by default now compared to base Damnation?

“Please make it all the same with no variation.”

Nah, miss me with that. I enjoy at least a little variety in modifiers thank you.

Speaking of which, we could use a few more. I really don’t see why Elite Resistance hasn’t been added back in yet.

They’re supposed to AFAIK, but regular HiInt and hounds have always felt anemic far too easy. Hounds is just basically ammo generation if you have ammo vet/bot after the wave doggos got nerfed.

I could go for “Hi-STG is the BASE difficulty for T5 Auric, additional mods go on top of that”.

It sucked and everyone hated it.

Speak for yourself. It was my group’s favorite and they noticeably lost interest after it was removed.

Admittedly, that was all before the unit rebalance that came with crossplay. Now that everything is much heavier on the elite units it might be tough. It’s a shame the unit count has to be gimped for consoles.

Anything below Auric HiSTG is irrelevant now, the game is too easy. Maybe we’ve gotten better too quickly but it doesn’t matter. I’m joining less and less everyday bcs there’s no challange. Personally I never cared about rewards, or crafting or anything. I’m here for the challenge but it’s getting easier everyday. Just double the spawns or someting and serve it as a new difficulty please.

don´t know about you guys, but if i place my butt in my seat and fire up that rig i´m “in there” for the next 5-6 hours at least, enjoying my favorite passtime.

there might not be a high populace in the upper levels, still it´s the foundation and hardcore fan base that sticks where passer by´s hop to a new game.

so if i´m already there for the long haul, i´d really enjoy a “complete run through”-match, every map cobbled together with varying modifiers depending on the area i´m in.

that being said i´d not be averse to proceduraly generated maps in general, like a bushido blade endless mode where the journey is the goal.

like a “mission” to gauge how far we can push the heretics back to gain some ground and reward measured by the ground we covered until we got finally overwhelmed.

Agreed. I kinda like having Lights Out, Vent Purge, Hounds etc. Someone suggested in another thread that we should get “waves of mutants” as a modifier. I’d personally love that idea. It would be a nice change to the normal Auric T5.

I thought about that a few days ago. Regular Auric T5 could/should be dual modifiers. Hi shock + hounds, or hounds + mutant waves, etc etc. Or at least, some of them for added challenge of regular Auric.

I also thought about having a Maelstorm with ALL Maelstorm modifiers at once. Maybe it will explode the servers, maybe it won’t be possible to complete, but would be fun to try. Imagine, waves of hounds, waves of mutans and poxbursters, sniper purge, mostly elite melee, mostly scabs (maybe it will override and add both ranged scabs and melee as to not make it too easy), monster specialsits, additional specialists, lights out. Lol

Look, you might not appreciate the other mission types, but there are those of us who enjoy a little variety in life…

I’ll grant you that there’s absolutely no reason for regular HiInt to exist in Auric though. You could replace those if you wanted. We could also talk about increasing the base difficulty of auric missions to begin with.
