My Internet is by far the biggest piece of trash ever

Seriously, every update you guys come out with the disconnects become more prevalent and it becomes more and more apparent all the issues are stemming from one thing - you refusing to upgrade your SHT servers. Explain to me how it is possible to join a friend’s fireteam, be instantly disconnected and kicked off the fire team, yet I can still hear all the audio from that party. I reconnect, I am no longer in a party, but I can still hear all the audio of the party I just got disconnected from. Get your sht together, at this point this is beyond pathetic.

If I recorded all the issues I had on a daily basis and sent it to steam as a reason to get a refund, I guarantee you they would practically throw a refund at my face even after 400 hours played. There are games in beginning beta stages that perform leagues better than this dumpster fire.

i am not defending FS in anyway here…, but have you logged bug report? with logs and said recording (reconnect attempt)?

Has become more stable for me every update.
That is a strange disconnect. I would have bug logged that.

Help them help you.

about the audio - are you using discord or something?

the discons- dont know its been rock solid for me except for 5 mins yesterday when i did discon twice in a row , have you changed location in steam ?

not heard of others having these issues, not that my frinds list is that exhaustive but sounds like a bug you have

Of all the problems I have with this game, stability is not one of them, as far as connections and crashes go everything works completely fine and stable.
It might be an issue with your internet connection/firewall/Antivirus?

The audio when disconnected from a fire team just started happening within the last few days. I have turned off my firewall and put exceptions, nothing. I just did a fresh reinstall, cleaned my registry, fresh reinstall of my drivers, updated my audio drivers. If this doesn’t work then its obvious it is on their end. I already know all of this is on their end to begin with, but when you deal with issues so much it starts to make you wonder about your own system lol

Performance and stability seems to be all over the place for different people, I think DT is just poorly optimized.

The game was basically unplayable for me during the crafting patch. It’s back to normal now, but “normal DT” for me still means I have trouble loading into runs without disconnecting once or twice.

Do you have any recording or monitoring software in the background (like MSI Afterburner)?
Geforce experience/shadowplay?
The Xbox Game Bar activated in windows?

There’s a lot of programs that cause weird interferences that people tear their hair out over just to find out it was that, Ark for instance has tons of problems with the xbox game bar that causes crashes for tons of people and most don’t even know it exists.
We’re all playing the same game, the differences are the systems it’s running on, which yeah, means compatibility issues that Fatshark have to deal with, but they also can’t forsee what kind of stuff everyone has running on their computers, hell even RGB control software meddles around with the components in your PC on a hardware level while the rest of the system is trying to render modern graphics, it’s chaos.
Troubleshooting is a massive pain in the @$$…
Are you on windows 10 or 11?

which av software are you using?
is memory, cpu, gpu overclocked?

Yup game isn’t in the best shape.

You sound like you have a LOT of technical issues that I haven’t experienced. Just wondering why your game experience boils down to the network.

Now one thing I have run into recently is that the game will crash if I launch via Nvidia Game Experience. I built this new rig last weekend and that didn’t happen with my previous rig. So, by all rights there’s a conflict between Game Experience and DT most likely due to the new build.

So there’s a lot of things that can cause tech issues and it can be on all different types of games. And if you’re having a problem to a degree that others don’t I’d take a minute to see if there’s anything on my side that would be causing conflicts.

Hopefully you’ll get it fixed or FS releases a patch and you get to enjoy the game

Because I have played tons of online games and never experienced any issues, some lag maybe yes but it would always even out and never affect my gameplay. Destiny 2, titanfall, titanfall 2, guild wars 2, WoW, ff14ARR Full cleared extreme primals farming tons of mounts and never had any lag issues. So many online games I never had any issues. All of a sudden we come here though and the list just keeps growing in terms of sh*t wrong with this game. After reinstalling the entire game, reinstalling my graphics driver with a clean install, doing a registry check/clean, updating audio drivers - every issue I mentioned is STILL PREVALENT.

The only explanation left is their servers. I played this game with minimal issues before Christmas break - 1 crash every 3-4 hours, no audio que issues, and no lag. Since Christmas break I have had nothing but lag, disconnects, and crashing. I guarantee they downgraded their servers during that time and didn’t say a f*cking word. When the lag starts in game, I can’t swap weapons - I can hit my weapon swap 20 times and the weapon swap animation will start, then it will glitch and stay on the current weapon. Movement becomes glitched to where I begin basically teleporting small distances. I can’t swing my weapon when this happens either because nothing registers. A perfect example of this was yesterday, I was having absolutely no issues then a random game I joined my audio and characters movement was somehow 20-30 seconds behind. I killed a hound, I hear the audio for it 20 seconds later. It got so bad I just stood there for a minute, and during that minute I was having animations that happened 30 seconds ago play on my screen - being knocked down by nothing and getting back up. If I restart my game, all the issues are fixed. If I sit and wait, the game will eventually either crash or disconnect, then on reconnect all the issues are fixed.

my experience is different, i have 230 missions passed according to servers. probably 600 games in total (i dont look at hours in game coz lobby plus hub plus perk crafting is not gaming, it it?), and i had 0 crashes. 0.

i have changed gpu in the meantime to get more fps on 4k. 0 problem there as well

…but i had horrendous amount of crashes on deathloop a year back, and no other games were causing any problems. shitty game right?..

turns out that my stable memory OC was stable on everything except deathloop, it was crashing with wierd errors due to this every few hours.

after removing OC, 0 crashes. its called OC for a reason.

funny enough 2 of my friends also had crashes, both related to memory OC

TL;DR: put mem on xmp, or tick lower, and see if you get crashes. it is low effort test

I fought my mic for like a month after DT was released. Couldn’t get it to work in the game, though it worked just fine in every single other application. I later found out that there was an audio setting in a 3rd party application that was launching on boot (but hiding in the system tray) that adjusted the sound settings based on head location using facial recognition technology. I was able to turn this off and my audio issue was fixed.

Owning a PC is both a blessing and a curse.

I had major crashing issues in Ark a couple years ago, everything else worked fine. I couldn’t figure out what was causing it, turned out to be old thermal paste in my GPU that was causing it to overheat in a game that just happened to be extraordinarily stressful for the graphics card. After replacing the thermal paste all problems disappeared.
Warframe did a similar thing with MSI afterburner - as long as the program was running, even without any overclocks on, it would constantly crash, was the only game that had problems with it. Something about the way the program accesses and reads hardware at a driver level in real time was causing instability.
Best buddy of mine had an issue with star Citizen (again, only game he had problems with), it ran fine for everyone in the group except for him, constant crashing. Turned out to be the xbox game bar, once he deactivated it in windows everything went away and we could all play together.
Is it the games’ fault for not being compatible with those systems? Maybe, depends on how you look at it, but the key point is there are so many variables with PCs that you can’t account for everything, and a lot of the time the solution can be found in the user end.

that sounds like from the amstory ally, with the voltage spike problem on early ryzens, cpu allowed super fast voltage monitoring and OC software was probing metrics in a loop without any wait time, hence causing big cpu usage, heat and voltage spikes. other cpus had slow voltage refresh rate and it did not cause problems.

triaging whose fault is that is not fun

I am just going to go ahead and admit it seems the issue all along was my sh*t internet. I upgraded from 18mbps to 800 and got a cheaper plan than what I had lol. Don’t experience nearly as many issues with weapon swaps and stuff - one thing I will say I still experience is major audio issues, regardless of good internet. Sometimes the audio will turn robotic or just not work

lmao i thought hedge ninja changed the thread title

Going to say well done for coming back to your thread and updating it, most people wouldn’t.

Audio stuff can be weird because there are a lot of manufacturers out there and, it would seem, a lot less care taken with creating and updating drivers for hardware. And it can get odd sometimes. My wireless headphones are fine with everything except, for some reason, Fallout 76. Some interaction there causes the sound to stutter sometimes. Not Fallout 4 though, or any other game. Just FO76.

I am pretty sure they did lol cause I didn’t change it. Sad reality is that because they changed it from p2p to dedicated servers - its pretty much required you have decent internet because they sure as hell aren’t going to shill out any extra money to make sure their customers have a better experience lol
