Issue Description (Required):
With what is used to measure performance impact could be very thing affecting it. Just leaving this here to help others.
Not just MSI Afterburner but “could” apply to HWinfo etc others that “monitors” stats and RTSS just simply displays them. But at least with MSI Afterburner you can see what stats are impacting the most so you can disable them individually.
MSI Afterburner hit ctrl+M
Right click and select “Show Profiler Panel”
Now if I do a bench test you’ll see how Power and Power Percent of GPU tends to most impact.
So can just unselect from monitoring in MSI afterburner “Power” and “Power percent”
For more information to see his results before and after. Can skip to 12:25 where he disables power and power percent.

Other monitoring apps
Whether you use Nvidia overlay, Presentmon, hwinfo etc. No in built function I see where it tells you what stat(s) can impact performance like MSI Afterburner, unless someone can correct me and show me where as I can’t find it.
Better yet - Just use temporarily to adjust graphic settings to how you want then stop using it for Darktide. Don’t have to uninstall MSI afterburner and RTSS. Just close it.
9800X3D, and maybe other CPUs in future
In Guru3d forums alot of users reporting 9800X3D not showing correct CPU stats. Won’t be fixed anytime soon as single dev said he is only contracted by MSI for GPU monitoring stats.
Problem with using alternative monitoring apps like CapXFrame, HWinfo, Asus GPU Tweak 3, FPS Monitor, Asus GPU tweak 3 etc. They don’t have ability to see what stats are impacting to what level like MSI afterburner. Unless someone can correct/show me where and I’ll correct myself.
Overlays you can consider to disable or close app if want to

Xbox/Gamebar - If you don’t use or never intend to buy a dual CCD then can disable. i.e. dual CCD examples are 7900, 7900X, 7900X3D, 7950X, 7950X3D, 9900X, 9950X. Gamebar is used to decide if a game is active and switches to correct CCD to use.
