Plz Fatshark, could we have more special conditions ? I like all of them but more would be better ! Here some ideas :
FEAR THE POXWALKERS (horror theme) :
Some lights are blinking, some areas are in pure darkness, all you can see is glowing eyes everywhere… No medical station, no other ennemies than slow poxwalker but they have more HP, do lot more damage and spawn continually leaving no respite… In addition there should be many deamonhead to avoid !
NURGGLE PLAGUE :
Vision is altered by a yellow smog (like vent purge with some disgusting floating particles) and you have a limited time to finish the mission (before being kill by the infestation)…
Ennemies present are groaners, buff (green smoke) poxwalker, some poxbusters, mutant, pox hounds small pack of 2 or 3 (full HP not hunting ground one), many weakened monstruosity and few Full HP monstruosity…
SUICIDE MISSION :
High intensity, no medical station (only medpack and stims), death (allies cant revive you when you are dead like the hard mode othus offensive)
HERETIC SOLDIERS :
Less ennemies but mostly range ennemies, no hordes, lot of ammo
It could be really nice to have a game mode where each map section have a different and random special condition ! That would make each missions different !
What do you think about all of that ? Do you have other ideas of special condition ?
I have to say though - I hate the low visibility modifiers. It’s super hard to see anything and I personally don’t think it’s fun…but it might be cool if it’s a horror theme lol
They could do so much with just little modifiers that you get 100% of the time on damnation +…
20% of hordes are wearing armor that flashes lights (flak armor?)
20% of ogryns have jet packs and can move a lot faster periodically
20% of ragers have guns instead of melee and have infinite ammo that they just spray everywhere
Could make them all loo a lot different so they almost act like straight up different enemy types
Could go a long way in adding variety to the game
Edit: I’m saying those are examples of different modifiers you could potentially get in the maps. I’m not against sometimes getting all or most of them for an insane auric time
Melee Weapon damage efficiency decreases each time you hit an armoured opponent.
Semi-joking. It’d be pretty horrendous. But also, damn, these weapons stay sharp after cleaving hundreds of bodies. I’m sharpening my kitchen knife after every roast dinner.
These all sound pretty great, with the exception of the yellow smog in Nurgle Plague. Visual hindrances can gtfo.
I’d even like to see some that are just for fun, like infinite ammo/peril or turbo physics where whacking lesser enemies sends them flying across the room. These ones can have lesser rewards if they’re too abusable.
Oh no, please, those condition don’t sound fun to play.
FEAR THE POXWALKER:
Firstly, darkness modifier isn’t fun, it mostly makes your eyes strain.
About only poxwalkers, this would become boring quite soon. There is a reason, why there are mixed types of enemies, without those, game would be to monotonous. Also, 90% of ranged weapons would become useless, and whole veteran class. Just take purgatus, ez and boring win.
Besides, almost noone plays darktide for horror experience.
NURGGLE PLAGUE :
As many people said before, any extenvie visual effects are typicali not fun hinderence.
More themed enemies, and some kind of time sensitivity doesn’t sound bad.
SUICIDE MISSION :
It is just straight up antifun, whats the benefit from barring players from playing? Especially in age of silent bursters/trappers/crushers, shooting through walls, spawning behinde players. One such bullcrap at the start of the game, bullcrap you have no control over, and fun has ended for you.
It would be half bad when playing with randos, when you die, just leave the game and try another. It would be way worse when playing with friends. One blunder at the start of the mission? Have fun sitting 30 minutes doing nothing while your friends are having fun.
Absolutly ridiculous.
HERETIC SOLDIERS:
First, I’m sure, that there is such condition allready in game.
Second, I doubt it is very popular, given that players see enemy shooters as a nuisance, not fun enemy to fight with.
