Would be nice with more preset slots. On Xbox it’s limited to 5, but I’ve seen gameplay videos where people have a lot more. Maybe it’s a mod?
Also, would be great to be able to switch build at the strike team pre mission screen. You can see what the other team mates are you using, but you can’t do anything about it. Quickly change to a more complementary build at that stage would be nice and make the game more fun.
I’ve got, at a guess, eight. But I’m not bothering with scoreboard and all it’s many submods, nor drip or weapons customization and it’s many submods, which may explain… ten of your eighty?
Yes.
A bunch of customization for interface, armor and weapons.
Multiple “scoreboard” type mods/plugins.
Some for solo play and testing.
A bunch of mods are only there to save me a few seconds while in the mourningstar.
Most of them are not essential for the regular player.
This is the bottom of my load order.
I would really recommend you get archivum messelina if you do not have it yet.
It adds a few functions to the penance menu.
filter displayed penances (show all, only show completed, only show incomplete, only show unclaimed)
searchbar (shows penances that have the search term in their title or their description)
Here I am back to playing vanilla again because I can’t be bothered to run he bat file.
The only mod I actively miss is dodge counter/numericUI. Anything else I’ve given up on, like all the crafting stuff. I’m simply not interacting with the system anymore and just play what I have.
I play on PC but vanilla and honestly, its not as bad as you might think although I just want to play the game and dont care about extra stuff like scoreboards etc.
I load in, run up to milk and have a drink, run up to mission select and quickplay. Rinse repeat.
Barely touch Hadron, check my milk every few games, check penances sometimes. Back to quickplay.
I start the game and the intro videos are all automatically skipped.
Thanks to mods, i can check the melk store and melk quests for all characters, without going past character selection, so without any loading screens.
Then i pick a character, load into the mourningstar and press a hotkey to open the mission selection from where i stand.
Or i press a single button to instantly enter the psykhanium on damnation difficulty.
When i see an item in my inventory, that i want to brick at hadron, i can just press a button to instantly open the hadron menu from my inventory, with that item already slotted in and ready for modification.
Thanks to an other mod, i can also see all blessings that i have not yet unlocked.
In case the item turns out well, i slap a little star onto the item, which saves it from accidental destruction.
It really is quite convenient.
Although i understand that some people enjoy walking around and actually interacting with things in the mourningstar.
No I get it and these things QoL things really should be in vanilla and its crazy they are not, considering they are in V2 (although iirc they were added much later).
Iv found the quick jog to milk then to QP to be not a problem tho, its 10 seconds that, much like a daily walk or drive, becomes muscle reflex within the brain.
Again, I agree and really think they should add QoL features like shortcuts and I hope they eventually do, I just dislike that they arent in already considering they are in V2.
I think I have about 40 or 50 mods? However if I was going to trim it down to the absolute minimum, I would have:
Disable Screen Effects to get rid of the 1 wound greyscale effect,
And Hub Hotkeys, because running around the Mourningstar is nothing more than a massive waste of time.
Especially for Xbox players I can’t imagine how annoying it is to have to run around everywhere. Want to check the latest Brunt’s rotation after a mission? Have to run all the way back to spawn. Maybe you finished a penance? Run to Hestia. Than run back to Hadron to upgrade a weapon. Than run to Psykanium to test it out. Than jump back and forth between Hadron and Sefoni until you get what you want. Than run all the way back to the mission hub.
Even if it’s just checking Brunts after a mission it’s a waste of time. Glad I don’t have to deal with it. Hopefully Xbox players one day won’t have to either.
