Would love to see the loadout slot number bumped up, 5 per character is not enough, should be bumped up to at least 10.
I know there is a mod that bumps up the loadout number, but I think the base game should just have more slots instead of having to rely on mods to fix this quality of life issue.
Agree with this, with the new Itemization rework I suddenly found myself really wanting to experiment, but 5 slots just isn’t enough.
Literally got me into modding the game just so I could have 12 slots (it feels, so, so much better), and the full 8 characters slots verses 5 (now have 2 Psykers with 12 slots each, haven’t filled them all up yet mind you but it feels infinitely better, got 2 vets to. One Zealot and Ogryn but might make another Zealot at some point, got 11 on them atm).
But yeah, since you can actually go for the stuff you want now, variety is the main thing keeping one playing this game, so I’d very much like to see this expanded for the base game verses having to throw an entire moding framework around it just to increase two client side numbers.
@FatsharkStrawHat this is literally my number 1 request for integrating a mod into base game and if I understand correctly it’d be like 5 minutes or less of changing some values in the code.
Seriously… don’t see a reason for a limit at all, frankly… 5 is so minimal, but it felt fine with garbage RNG-fest that we had before since I wasn’t really wanting to change builds around much, but now that crafting isn’t a total crapshoot and weapons feel good to play around with, I’d love to actually have more loadouts to just goof around.
The base game really needs more build slots considering the variety of builds and weapon combos we can make.
More slots would mean more options, more fun, and ultimately more playtime. (and devs, publishers and investors love “more playtime”, right? It’s a key factor in the spending equation)
Right now, I’m relying on the mod to get by, but who knows if that’ll keep working down the line?
yeah, for some reason there are slots for up to 8 characters on the server, but the game only shows you 5. and those 5 characters can have only 5 loadouts each in vanilla, but with the mod up to 12, and someone here edited it to 20. so, apparently it’s just changing some numbers, so fatshark could really make the mod official.
