but ESP is totally a different thing, same for radar which is a 2d map with knowing the positions of things at all times. while ESP does this but as squares through everything. two different things.
spidey sense never done this, it doesnât show things âat all the timesâ as i said before, it shows visual cues (which is at a certain distance) and they only appear as the sound plays in the code.
you can see that visual cues they do even disappear when specials stop playing sounds in the code. in fact coding wise it is simply cleaver and you can really tell the author tried in all ways to make this mod clearly with good intentions and first and foremost to make darktide accessible.

i really donât care about âexternalâ edits you can do about the mod because itâs not what we are talking about. i remember when you even attempted and tried to use the mod for then trying to justify things. but still never ever tried it in a real game, when many people told you that most of the times can be a distraction or simply not paying attention. where some others actually preferring audio over visual cues still. simply due to the nature that audio simply with the 3d spatial awareness it will be objectively better. unless you are deaf, which by the way, you are not, despite you saying you are deaf, but until i donât see a medical record, i wonât believe it.
so audio is preferred over visual cues, and basically your opinion about it is simply subjective and no wonder this mod sub enters in the accessibility category of mods.
if people use outside of accessibility options, itâs still like having the same information you already know and you are aware but displayed in a different way, just like other UI mods.
mod mainly useful to people with actual health conditions. even though there are people that donât even use it just for the âvisual cuesâ but only for the text cues. things like âCharge!â when a plague ogryn does the charge attack. etc. which is even a backbone form of visual cues but less advanced.

if you buying a headset (which is with a mic incorporated) you are already doing the worst mistake, since they are know for being just gaming headsets and thatâs it. professional headphones are much better, especially open back headphones because of the sound stage enhancing the feel of 3d spatial awareness. and itâs not only about headphones, it is also the gear, dac and the amp.
if you are that confident, then share your mod list. unless you are scared? because there are many things that can be considered cheating. if you donât have nothing to hide, then show it.

but to answer your question, yes 3rd person makes you self aware of enemies and specials, you can even block incoming attacks where normally you couldnât see and because of that in first person you have to rely only on the backstab sound, for then turning around. which in 3rd person you donât even need to turn. it makes your mobility even much better due to the fact you can see where you step. and much more. it is insanely op, to the point that the director design of the game said it too. and i agree with the FS dev.
sounds too are omnidrectional, aka 360 degree. not directional. i donât know, you donât need a sound engineer degree to understand this. it is information you are aware of it, but shown in a different way, in this case visual. and the fact it is not on at all the times, it doesnât make it a radar. radar would be if there was a hud showing with precision the exact locations of enemies at all the times. which in this case, it does not happen. but i guess using ESP and radar words randomly just to sound cooler is okay.

if you talk about spidey sense, the visual cue it appears as soon the audio from the code plays, basically two actions happening at the same time. when the sound cue stops playing and fading away, the visual cue will fade and disappear away too. did you check in depth how the mod works coding wise, assuming if you ever tested it in the first place or just talking again about hearsay cause it is just a trend talking about things without trying and test by themselves

if you knew actually about things instead of mocking or talking about hearsay, you would know that in our comp server we donât even allow all mods and we have the console logs to check the sessions and what mods are ran on that time and we can see if the file is has been edited. and funny thing is that atm spidey sense is not even whitelisted.
by the way things like this were a thing since unofficial tournaments from vt2⌠but i guess you were never interested in modded realm stuff or any sort of comp related stuff (?)
