Mod thoughts from a 1000+ hour series x player

Fair enough to include inflation in the calculation for you, but in my economy, inflation wasn’t really significant (and outpaced by wage increases slightly :smirk: ). I checked old bills and it seems I spent roughly 1200$ converted. I wasn’t really considering US economy much.
I still think you’d probably still fare worse with consoles in the US considering controllers (assuming I didnt just have bad luck) and stuff like PSN subscriptions (80 or 120 dollars a year apparently not sure). Also, weren’t scalpers skyrocketing prices on the original PS5? I admittedly didn’t really care a lot but I remember something like this.

TS = True Survivor aka 35+ no deaths, so yes I have done 40s

So sometimes (overblown btw) the game may cheat you, so it’s ok to cheat it back 100% of the time? That’s basically their justification for this one cheat/ESP mod, but then they also use other cheat/ESP mods in conjunction with that one, always two there are (at least).
See recent vids here, many of OP’s mentions are there.

So, in other words, you claim that you know this mod is a big cheat cause you have TS?
My question was did you try it?

Or are you claiming it is a big cheat without even testing it? And when I say testing, I speak about a sufficient period, like 2 weeks.
If you do that, you will see how useful is spidey sense if you have no earing impairement or have good headphones… close to useless.
But sure, if you have such problem or if you cannot afford a good headphone set, spidey sense would allow you to play this game.
I guess that this is not acceptable to see disabled person, or players that cannot afford a 200 € headphones, that could play a game that is clearly, and only, made for the elite of gamers (and that have money).

Precision: I tested it more than 2 weeks. I actually removed it. From my experience the mod doesn’t provide any additional help if you have a good headphone set or that you don’t have earing impairement. But I am glad that I tested it instead of jumping in the bandwagon of players that claim things without even testing.

If you could read you would see that I mentioned that I havent used Mods since havoc, i’ve absolutely used mods prior, when spamming Aurics.

Additionally your arguments talking about a good headphone set are disengenious at best, a multitude of issues occur when it comes to spawner noise cues. Sometimes noise just breaks, sometimes character or scripted dialogue reduces volume of special spawns, sometimes multiple specials spawn and sound overlaps, or priority sound overwrites. These issues also existed in V2, so its not exactly a new problem.

I use sennheiser 490 pros, assume these are perfectly capable headphones.

If you could read, you would have seen that I asked you this:

And still you don’t answer. So I guess the answer is “No I have no tested spidey sense to see if it gives a real advantage”. By testing I mean here testing seriously more than 2 minutes. To test a mod you need to use it at least 1 week. 2 weeks is good to see if the mod can be useful.

And still you can claim that:

Too many persons here have opinions on things they never tested.

As Spidey sense works with sounds, something you would know if you had tested it, I don’t see what you mean here.

And spidey sense does not magically listen sounds not played.

Fine. I use a momentum 4 and have no hearing problem.
However, considering what is darktide, without spidey sense someone with hearing impairement cannot play the game.
And cause I can listen clearly sounds, I don’t use spidey sense that provides… no advantage at all if you have a good headphone and no hearing impairement.

Tangent: Hey, for my own straw poll, do you use any 3D sound software/DAC or just plain stereo in windows and in-game? They’re open-back, do you have a lot of background noise (noisy PC etc)?

Thats not how it works at all. The sound is scripted to play but may not go off for a number of various reasons, but it is still registering an an existing sound from X enemy. Which will cause Spidey to give you a directional indicator.

Regardless, you are focusing too much on specifically this Mod. Decode Helper for example shows upcoming targets for decoding, which isn’t particularly impactful in the grand scheme of things, but I think it would be hard to make an argument that its not cheating.

and since you want to be unbearably obtuse, and need everything spelled out to the f*cking letter. Yes, I have used Spidey Sense, and numerous other mods at one occasion or another.

Missing audio in oblivium (most likely also in oubliette) - Warhammer 40,000: Darktide / Bugs - Fatshark Forums

Check that… if the sound is not here… I maintain that spideysense can’t indicate anything.
And what describes Aurelia is what is impacting the most players.
But, let’s say that I tested more than you spidey sense, and I can say you that sometimes I have killed special that spidey sense did not notice. Yes, you have to play with the mod to encounter such situation.

There is better than this. One that resolves automatically the puzzle. However, and yes I know it will shock you, I don’t consider that it is a game changer.

But you did not test it… playing with it 2 weeks. You have just wanted to confort your vision.

Anyways, let’s say we won’t agree… But still, I wish that Fatshark could add an option that would allow players to team only with players that use unmodded version of the game. Like that, everybody could be happy.
I could play my modded game, so like I want, you could avoid cheaters like me… cause obviously when I launch a mission I just watch the screen, mods do everything.
