This is just the case because FS continues to kill every decent end event, one after another, which got pointed out multiple times in this thread.
First the path to the end event gets pulled out of someones topper and now Convo gets compared to FoW.

sounds like the other maps need tuning up
Also if you’re comparing Cata CoD to Cata FoW then idk what to tell you
the reason FoW isn’t in the quickplay rotation is because it’s functionally completely different from all the other maps, not because of the difficulty. Gee, I wonder why weaves aren’t in the standard quickplay rotation
I’m going to have to ask you to stop before this gets out of hand because nobody is telling anybody to get gud.
^This is advice. Nothing ever stops a team from dropping down to the left path. A team wipes because an assassin jumped on them on the bridge? It’s a mistake they won’t make again because next time, they’ll look around when crossing the bridge. Even if they didn’t hear an assassin, they’ll look around because they know that silent assassins are a thing.
^This is asking for evidence. A video or gameplay segment we can dissect. Maybe to offer advice for the player in question and see how one of these extreme examples of the Convo finale going bonkers, plays out.
None of what Radina wrote is about telling people to get gud.
As Velsix has aptly demonstrated, a video leads to discussion. Since this thread is slowly turning into another Convo-too-hard-but-I-cannot-press-the-record-button-to-get-10-minutes-of-footage, I’m with Radina. Give me something to look at otherwise EVERYBODY will simply be working with hypotheticals and their own experience.
Or I can go and stream Cata convo for 3 hours. Either works for me but at the least both will give this thread actual gameplay to look at.
Suggestion: Instead of discussing in yet another thread the ups and downs of CoD maybe (maaayybbee) we start discussing on how to potentially improve other terror events to be more challenging and equally more interesting and fun.
While there is always the general solution of more spam I would personally prefer more unique solutions to each and every event.
Here here! Personally I think a number of events could probably use a monster thrown in like righteous stand has. Also helps the problem when monster killing builds often not having enough monsters to make them worthwhile.
Would love to see some specific suggestions here on how to adjust end events to make them more challenging.
Fort B could get less stale by increasing the number of cannonballs you need to transport. Each time you pick one up extra specials spawn plus some elites get triggered. The second or third ball will ontop of that trigger a monster, without a firewall. You can either kite it until the event is done and you can leave, or kill it.
If all three balls are available for pickup as soon as the “defend the gate” part is done, the group can decide if they take all of them at once, and trigger everything, or do it slowly. The cannon aiming/turning part might need to be sped up slightly to not end up being a slog.
It surely would need some testing and maybe some more spawn points for the balls, but to an idiotes like me, this doesnt seem too outlandish to be made a reality.
I appreciate this. I understand that the PC community is very vocal on what they want and that the most skilled players that can trounce just about everything are going to say the game is easy ( lol )
On console Xbox, we had our first team of 4 beat weaves last week.
The top 100 on ranked weaves starts at 45 or so.
When I queue up for cata, its the same 20 or so people playing. I can tell by clockwork on what time of day it is who I’ll be playing with, and its usually 1-2 bots.
Its exceptionally rare to find players on Xbox that can even beat cata 1, let alone CoD.
Most folks on console play Champion/Legend and even the legend runs work better with bots most of the time ( I play m/kb)
Maybe the console players experiences here are different ( I doubt it)
Given the reality that FS would just cross increase from PC to Xbox, I’m just going to BEG that they find other solutions that make the hardcore PC community happy because the sheer number of special spawns on CoD coupled with controller input and our FPS/increased hp is crippling on console.
When I QP legend on console and get CoD, I just dodge the lobby because the failure rate is just so ridiculous even though I can PERSONALLY win it with bots.
On cata, if I pub QP into CoD, I also just dodge the lobby and wait until my crew gets on.
