MainWindow invocation error: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly ‘System.Management, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a’ or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

at Launcher.UI..ctor(Window ownerWindow)

WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF.
To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.
Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging.
To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].

From what i gather parsing some older posts from Vermintide- this is an issue with the launcher, but i seem to lack a way to bypass the launcher like i could from those games.

I have tried ensuring the permissions are consistent (They already were), i have tried deleting the app data and verifying, I have checked the firewall, deleting GPU detection, repairing the.net framework. nothing seems to have worked

Thanks for the update! though I’m sorry to hear that nothing has helped so far.

Hi! Could you ensure the .NET Framework is enabled in Windows by:

  1. Press Win + R
  2. Enter optionalfeatures
  3. Ensure .NET Framework 4.8 Advanced Services is enabled

.net framework 4.8 advanced services is, indeed, enabled.

no worries- currently this is what error pops up when i try to launch it:

I’d recommend doing a complete re-install of Darktide if you haven’t already, as it seems some dependencies are missing here.

I have done an uninstall and reinstall via the steam launcher with no change sadly- is there another step im missing maybe?

Just to double check, are you sure it is? If only some parts of it are enabled the checkbox will be blue but with a - through it instead of a checkmark.

It’s easy to miss, especially if you have a high res monitor with no scaling enabled leaving all the icons tiny
