LOD / Low quality meshes being used, bad vis.glitches

Collecting data from the numerous threads in the general Bug section about this topic since it’s gone without fix or comment for half a year now.

Issue Description: Severe and consistent graphical glitches, as if distant/low quality LOD models are being used instead of correct HQ models. Normal Mesh streaming doesn’t seem to take effect. All types of models are effected, FPS weapons and hands, player and NPC models as well. Jagged textures and strange artifacts of rendering seem to become the default. In some cases this results in see-through terrain.

Only in-menu character models seem unaffected, like on char select.

Verified game file integrity, All graphics settings methodically tried without effect.
Only thing that works is going into the settings.ini and disabling mesh streaming altogether, though this comes with heavy performance impact and is not viable in most cases.
It has been reported that this issue might be specific to people with AMD Ryzen 5xx processors.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Log into game.
  2. Observe how distant/low LOD models are used instead of correct models.
