Lights out...is incredible

I’m also not sure it gives money or XP either. Secondaries do, but I havent paid enough attention to notice if the modifiers do or not.

It’s great! So much fun!

Oh wait, I still haven’t been able to play it because they limit it so heavily.

The mission board is so great.

Yeah, this is one of the few NEW additions which I genuinely like. It really changes the atmosphere. It would be great to be able to switch those conditions on AT WILL, wouldn’t it?

It’s a boon and a curse. Don’t point the flashlight on Daemonhosts. It aggravates them easily…
But yeah, really enjoying it and that you should turn it off when near one.

They don’t aggro that easily. I wish Fatshark made this encounter slightly more about player skill and make it aggro easier.

Calm down, it was okay. The daemonhost is a very boring enemy to fight for 3 people and a dodge spamfest for the other person - similar to all the bosses that like to hyper target one person. The DH needs some movesets and mechanics. It’s a little dated to just have a plain old witch these days since VT2 had such colorful and engaging bosses.

The darkness was neat the first time. I’d like it much better if it were sections of level that were uncommonly rng’d that way instead. That would wake me up between weekly grinding.

Can we just not rotate this stuff this quickly?

The mission panel is terrible.

Yes, the two low visibility effects are a lot of fun! (Lights out and the foggy one.)

Until this comes into play:

It seems now very unlikely to get a Heressy mission without the lights off, and even finding a Malice one can be hard. Please do something about the mission board, there is not enough choice and it feels very bad to be forced to play something you don’t want to.

Love that kind of malus in mission ! It give another challenges and it’s a very good idea ! I hope FatShark continu in that vein. Yesterday we fight two demonoast and we beat it ! and it was great ! Love that game.

i tend to just hit quickplay , often dont get warned going in

It is incredibly garbage.

Completely agree, the power outages are amazing. My preferred way to play a map.

Not rly, of course it is random if you play with… well randoms.
Still T4 runs are very manageable.
Additionally flamer or purge stuff light up environs and enemies as well.
It made me play a lasgun on my Zealot on occasion, just for light and long range support, which was suprisingly enjoyable.

That would be a great idea ! It would mix things up during levels, without turning I to a chore.
And most maps are already designed around discret “hab”, so it would made sense if it some hab were blacked out and some other weren’t.
It would also work for entire floors in some levels ! (The ones were you have to find and scan corruption samples for example, would be great match to have one floor blacked out).

Would be a welcome addition in regular levels, while still having the regular modifier for more intense challenge !

If there is one power out in one map, it will be in all of your chosen difficulty and above as the maps renew.
If there are plenty already, you can see it on the map selection.

They really are fantastic!

Now if they could add a miner’s helmet or body accessory torch to Ogryn so we can have some source of light as the big guys that would be swell.

+1. I really like the dark maps, I don’t like not being able to bring my good stuff, or ending up in one quickplay without a light.

Okay, the following isn’t perfect, but something along these lines. Might be a weapon with a light, or something else, but offered to equip on arrival but maybe not full time.

FS should give us all a miner helmet for free, and a popup ‘do you want to equip’ on dark maps on enter, or something like that ,so I can quick play but not end up…in the dark.

Lights out was incredible and i really hope it returns soon
