I feel like it would net them a lot more money on this front alone. I refuse to buy sets based on color pretty often. Remove that as a factor and they take my money.
For sure. Not to mention buying sets you don’t like but to get colors/textures you want. Plus all the options for being able to have individual colors/textures/patterns as minor rewards for penances, in-game events, etc.
They already said no marines.

Do they even have stickers in 40k? I bet the Ogryns would love them. Cheaper to make than medals I’d assume. But they might not have the STC for 'em yet.

It would be a great improvement for the game to be able to paint your cosmetics, not to mention it would add a lot of variety and memes to the game.

This is 99.999% of the facts, as there is some sliver of custom leeway in 40k yet more so requirements to fit into the Lore
We don’t know that, and we’ve received no communication that I’ve seen that should make us believe that though.
I should correct myself to say I speculate that it is 99% of the reason, where as 1% is where some customization within lore has been allowed

It not being here in darktide makes me believe that it’s entirely on fatshark just being obstinate on it for no discernible reason
there is also that maybe this is not on their priority list
even though it would be cool to have more customization for sure.
