Legendary is crap

Eh the main thing I think needs balancing is the AI Director itself. Spawns in my opinion are too random, some times you get a walk in the park and then others the game decides to dump spawn after spawn of specials on your head and a horde + boss at the first time possible. While it’s possible to pull through all of that…it’s more annoying then fun in my humble opinion.

I’m going to pretend that your post ended after the first two paragraphs since I agree that legend difficulty is an absolute mess, but I’m tired of ‘nerf ____ character’ threads.

I don’t remember cataclysm in vermintide 1 being as difficult as V2’s legend mode. The enemies had more health, yeah, and they hit SUPER hard, but there was no difference in swarm or special number. There were a few impossible scenarios (like stormvermin patrols spawning in front of you), but If you played slowly and carefully you’d almost always make it through.

In V2’s legend, though, its all a crapshoot. You have to hope that the direction doesnt decide to throw some unwinnable combonation of a dozen specials at you. They spawn so quickly and so mercilessly that there’s almost never any callouts done by the characters and more often than not zero chance of counterplay. I honestly don’t know what you’re supposed to do against four assassins, 2 blightstormers, and a patrol or two in the frame of 10 seconds, other than just have a party wipe.

I would much rather prefer Legend to just be cataclym-style, with the same spawn rate as champion but having enemies have way more HP and hit a bit harder than they do currently.

it really isnt hate that motivates it , i actually play elf most and sienna a good amount to and i am one of the most vocal about nerfing the range spam and i think bardins drake pistols are in the list to and the others might need some adjustment.

As you said “are designed to use ranged often.” but thats not what we have is it? right now we have infinite range spam ad nauseam they even both have low cd abilities that have aim bot and can can destroy entire patrols in one blind shot. people are starting to count this classes as essential as they trivialise the maps if you play any other career you meet resistance and if the stars align and you join a lobby where these are not being played its common for them to be asked for.

They are overpowered, they brake the game , they make it boring for everyone else. they need balancing and i think most people can see it , my interest is in trying to find a way to reign them in without breaking the style

bolt staff sienna in V1 could spam homing bolts pretty much nonstop…

I remember during preorder beta when ppl rejoiced and claimed flamer is finally balanced now that you need to charge, month later apparently its broken as hell again along with pistols.

You could also spam with trueflight bow np despite only 20 shots max…

yup. scavenger and haste were both pretty awesome… and you could have scavenger on both melee and ranged. Sienna was the pew pew queen… flame broil a horde, vent, repeat. heal a bunch of green hp while doing all of the above… bardin was a similar case with drakefire pistols… block, dodge back, Q alt fire q again repeat. most of this stuff people are complaining about in V2 isn’t really anything new, a lot of it was already set up that way in V1.

not sure what the point of that post is , you seem to be implying that were not talking about broken things? do you think everyone who thought the flamethrowers were out of hand were wrong? that we share some gestalt consciousness and are now not allowed to think other things are still out of balance?

my point is that suddenly when ppl got used to game and therefore it got easier you have new wave of complains about same things…

most people don’t play elf / waystalker on legend

if your games revolve around protecting sienna/kerillian, that’s your party’s playstyle, not the game design.
