Launcher wont start suddenly

With no reason or change whatsoever, I am suddenly unable to play the game.
After starting it, both through Steam and through the desktop icon. launcher wont come up. Steam says “Running” for a few seconds and then stops.
Steps I’ve taken to try and repair the issue:
Verifying file integrity on steam
Uninstalling and reinstalling entirely
Unsubscribing from all mods on the workshop
Try and use launcher workaround through the “Beta” section in Steam

nothing seems to have worked.
Any help would be appreciated, as I am simply unable to play at the moment.

Try to empty the steam download cache.
Goto:
Steam -> Settings -> Downloads -> Clear Download Cache

If Hax’s recommendation above is unsuccessful, you may need to repair your .NET Framework installation.

Please download the appropriate version of the .NET Framework from the Microsoft website linked below. The installer should then prompt you with an option to repair your installation.

Be sure to restart your PC afterwards!
