Labor of Love - Darktide

Nope. There’s a very noticeable difference in the playing and spending habits of the 40k players versus people just here for the gameplay from what I’ve seen. Obviously it’s anecdotal but from what I’ve seen the 40k fans are way more willing to spend (and justify said spending) than non fans.

One of few lessons they learned from VT2, with how it splits up the playerbase.

I’ve seen a lot of negative sentiment in regards to not trusting their next game. Words are cheap, but I didn’t see anywhere near the negative backlash with VT2, which also released kinda rough. (Not as rough as DT though)

Oh come on. I’m so tired of people acting like this is some sort of medal of honor these days. I’ve gotten death threats because somebody disagreed with me over Elden Ring’s boss design. People are stupid. Is it incredibly messed up that’s the point we’re at? Yes. Is it something that suddenly merits them getting a gold star for doing their job? No.

This is not trying to say it’s okay, but that’s an incredibly rosy way of putting it when in the age we’re in it’s more rare for a company to not get death threats of some kind. Particularly when it’s generally one tween saying dumb crap on Twitter or whatever getting blown way out of proportion.
