We are aware of an issue for the ‘Veteran Skitarius’ (Mortis Trials) Penance which is resulting in the Penance not tracking correctly.

Same issue. I also completed a Mortis trial and it shows as incomplete for this Penance.

I’ve just completed a mortis trial and it didn’t give me the penance, despite having completed adventure and expeditions (both have ticks next to them).
I loaded into the Mortis mission just seconds after the first wave had started but that shouldn’t discount it. If we have no way of choosing to start a fresh mission then we shouldn’t be punished for it.
I really don’t want to have to play another Mortis but I’m being forced to now.
Steps to Reproduce (Required):
Complete an adventure and expeditions mission so that you see a tick next to them in penances.
Play a Mortis mission
Notice how the penance isn’t updated upon completed Mortis.

Hi @MadMartigan, many Penances require completion from mission start to finish. It’s necessary to prevent hotjoining mid-way or near the end, which can result in Penances being cheesed and earned without a real challenge.

I’ve loaded into over 10 different mortis games just now and not once am I put into a lobby. I’m sorry but this isn’t an acceptable mechanic.
Please give us the option to load into a fresh lobby of this is a requirement on penances.
I’m spending my whole morning just joining and quoting a mode because there is no option to join a lobby.
Edit: make that 13 times now. There are no players in this mode so there are always places on teams.
At least make it so that joining in the first wave counts. Joining seconds after it starts but not being valid for penance is not cool.
Every Mortis trial I load into is hot-joining me, even at wave 1. I don’t think it’s terribly healthy for the game for people to be queuing up, find they’re hot-joining, then leave immediately just because they won’t get progress.

Okay can confirm it wasn’t intentional for hotjoining to restrict this Penance. We’re on the case!

I did two and it doesn’t unlock…

dunno if this is the issue you’re having but some penances won’t track unless you’re in the lobby from the very start of the game

but from what I remember I was in at least one of the two matches in the lobby.

Just saying: It’s not just this penance. It’s others too. Will report later which other I found.
Gee, imagine if we could guarantee starting a mission from the beginning through player agency and such revolutionary tech as player control over mission selection and what’s not.
I have credit for Mortis trials but I’m not getting credit for Expeditions. I’ve tried extracting at each zone but no results.
Edit: Just got it, can also confirm you MUST be in the game starting from the lobby to get credit, joining a game in progress will not qualify.
I’m also struggling with this but its both mortis trials and expeditions
