KNOWN ISSUE: Stuck in "Position in Queue: 1"

Issue Description:
Whenever i try to boot up after that latest 200Mb steam update i cant get past this screen:

I’ve been waiting for more than 30 minutes, ive verified files of the game on steam, restarted my pc, searched for solutions online and everytime i land myself on this screen. What am i supposed to do?
Ive got approximately 8 hours of gameplay on the game, ive played it before this issue appeared

every time after i try to close the game from the stuck queue screen, the game crashes and shows me this report, i have no idea if its relevant to the topic though

Upload Console Log:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide\console_logs
  4. Locate the console log that corresponds with the session in which the issue occurred, by looking at the timestamps in the log names
  5. Upload here

Upload darktide_launcher.log:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide
  4. Locate the darktide_launcher.log in this directory
  5. Upload here

Just had the same issue occur, haven’t been able to get in since.
Restart game / steam / PC, nothing helped.

Best $40 I ever spent :persevere: It’s now been 6 hours and my game still shows “Position in Queue: 1” I’ve been told it may have to do with all Steam IDs that got a position in Queue messages today will be locked out of the game until there is a fix :frowning: So yeah, I heard the problem was with the Steam IDs.

If ya’ll are really desperate to play and are willing to start over on a new account, then I suggest creating a new steam account then there is a good chance the game will work for ya.

Me too, some people are saying its bound to steamID or your steam account…

Can only chime in and say that I have this too.
No game for me it seems.
Tried to log in yesterday during maintenance and got in queue slot 65k something.
After servers got back up it jumped to 1 and has been there since.

Issue Description:
After the update i get “position in queue: 1” it starts at 1 and stays at 1, its on the splash screen which doesnt go away, can only hard kill the application to quit the game. The game just never logs in, waited for 30 minutes.
Before the recent update / hotfix i could play just fine.

Reinstalling the game did not fix the problem.

Got the same thing. Been like this for 3h+ now. Just stuck at position 1. ( My buddies had the other login issue with the backend error message, but now they can all play though )

Was getting Backend issues before, then did the Appdata > delete Darktide folder.

Now like the OP just sitting in Splash page on Position 1
