fixed by total removal of graphical drivers, restart, installation of new graphical drivers using GeForce’s official autoupdater, restart. Game now launches normally.

Is this one of those games that if you dont meet the minimum requirements they won’t even let you start it because i can play Vermintide 2 no problems.

Please FS lower the min requirements if possible. I have pre ordered this gem of a game and i cannot even run it ( i get the crash message ‘‘something wrong with the shader cache builder’’). I meet all the minimum requirements except the graphical card (i have an ancient gtx 650) but i was able to run Vermintide 2 pretty decent. Why couldn’t you make the same minimum requirements for DT too? I cannot afford to upgrade right now and i feel terribly that i have to refund. Could you pls suggest a workaround? I follow you from Vermintide 1 loyally and i would like to continue so.

what graphical card do u have?

Isn’t it a bit like giving your customers a big middle finger? How is it possible same low end graphics card can run Vermintide 2 and failing to even load DT? Why do you force your loyal customers to upgrade to just run your product which also purchased? It’s this or not buying at all. Right? Is this your strat? Wouldn’t be more lucrative to enable low end customers to just run however badly than losing their money all together?

is a i7-4790 @ 3.60GHz within minimum requirements?

Yes, I have the same problem. Any of existing ways to prevent crushes didn’t work. I 've made some reserach and i can say that the problem may be in the videocard which is too old and didn’t support Direct X 12 completely ( internet says it does). I’ve made an experiment and downloaded Elden Ring ( in has much higher minimal requremens. I launced the game, find out that i have the “white screen” problem, which is connected to the Direct X 12. There is actual fix for that, i downloaded a couple of .dll files and everythig concerned, copy these files right to the Elden Ring’s folder… and the game started working normally. I do believe , that the similar solution can be used for Darktide and allow plenty of people start playing. Moreover, I have already exceeded my 2 hours of play, while I actually
didn’t play a minute! which makes refund impossibe. But of the record i would prefer play the game i have waited for a couple of years. ( even more, i like 40k and thought about Vermintide in 40k universe when played Vermintide for the first time)

At least can an official response be made to corroborate that devs are actually looking into this? That anyone with lower than min requirements can at least open the game rather than crashing and getting the message ''something went wrong with the cach building"?

Should we wait for the official release or should we refund already?

Hi, I am having the same problem, with “Exit code = 1”. Please could you review my crash data? I am not particularly tech-savvy, but I think my system should be able to meet the minimum requirements.

A friend had this issue and I was doing troubleshooting for him for quite a while. After a lot of different attempts, a fresh install of Windows 10 was all that would fix it. Game runs fine for him now.
