Same here, since the patch there are no more dismemberments possible. Tested in match AND training room.

What country are ya from if i may ask?

Apparently, region restrictions were added with the most recent patch 1.5.11 that remove blood decals, gore (gibbing), visible wounds, and interactive ragdolls. This might be enforced for Austria, Germany, Japan, and probably other applicable countries.

Yup. Link to the PS5-related restrictions code. There are similar files for Steam and Xbox.

Looks like the Xbox version of this file has been there for a while, with only rag dolls affected, but I haven’t looked hard to see if that was actually implemented/enabled.

This makes no sense for Germany and Austria (don’t know enough about Japan to comment). Germany used to be quite strict about gore in video games, but that’s not been a thing in at least 10 years now. There was never a problem with Darktide’s gore in Germany.
Austria has never had any issues with gore in video games. In fact, when Germany still had their infamous ban list, you could get all of those games in Austria, uncensored, because we usually received the European version. Sometimes, however, we got lumped in with the Germans and received their censored content. Guess that happens when you ignorantly or lazily just treat it all as one locale - I wonder how Fatshark would feel if Sweden, Norway, and Denmark were all just considered the same locale.

I don’t know what happened here, but this can’t come from governments or official regulations. It must be a misunderstanding or mistake on Fatshark’s part, IMO.

FWIW Mods already fixed it.

It is so wild to me that we have countries in the world that censor things like this

I can understand certain regions having restrictions on the PS5, but it makes no sense for the same restrictions to affect PCs, which have been fine so far. It’s probably a bug. I expect it will be fixed in next week’s patch.

Games always had to have blood turned off for Germany. Didn’t realise it was still a thing but maybe it is.

Nope it isn’t since last console gen in mosz cases.

TLOU2 had gore, all the wolfenstein Games did, even Vermintide 2 had gore.
Calisto Orotocol, Deadspace etc still do have gore.

So its not that in Germany there is “no blood” out of sudden

@devs or publisher

Please remove the censorship in the German Steam version !

There is no reason to remove the gore at all.

This is fraud to German costumers censoring a game after 2 years of release.!
