Issue Description: On xbox receive error 2014 and disconnected from server.

Steps to Reproduce:
Start Mission from xbox. Any Mission play for 30 seconds to 2 minutes get disconnected

100% game unplayable for either of us

Unable to provide console log (to my knowledge) as my wife and I use xbox.
Do you guys have any steps for reporting to Microsoft Xbox support? Is this the best place to report this bug?

Our ISP is Xfinity. We use a wifi repeater in the upstairs section of the house. Our router is downstairs. We get a stable 80-90 megabits per second download speed (about 10 MB/s or a hair more). Could this be a contributing factor?

Sorry to hear this.

Error code 2014 is a complicated error and our developers are working to resolve this as soon as possible.

We’re currently trying to identify reliable troubleshooting steps which can help to resolve this for PC, and for Xbox this is limited even further sadly.

It’s possible that the error could be due to an ISP-related problem, and your ISP may be able to identify any fault in the connection if you were to contact them.

I apologise that I don’t have an immediate solution to this for you :frowning:

Hey that’s all good! Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I figured this might be the case. I worked game QA at one point so I’m familiar with how difficult bug fixing can be in general, coupled with bug identification on a console where you have seperate coding and different patches tailored to a specific platform. It can be a real headache. :joy:

If it helps. I happen to have a gaming computer with the capabilities to play the game. Would it be beneficial to install it on my computer using pc gamepass to try and recreate the error? If it’s ISP related it should also show up on pc. Then your bug fixing team could also have a error log to work with, VS me just saying “it no work.” Additionally if it doesn’t happen I can just post it here so you guys have more to work with.

Can you please try the following -

Flush Your DNS
Flushing your DNS will clear your PC’s DNS cache, and can resolve a variety of connectivity-related issues.

  1. Run the Command Prompt as an administrator
  2. Enter the command:
    ipconfig /flushdns
  3. Restart your PC

Change Your DNS to 8.8.8.8 (Google)
When clearing the PC’s DNS cache has been unsuccessful, we recommend changing the DNS. Instructions on how to switch to Google DNS can be seen here: Get Started  |  Public DNS  |  Google for Developers

We’re still working on Error Code: 2014. My apologies, but I don’t have any immediate solutions at this time.

I reset factory my modem, looks like the problem was on my side. Not sure what was the problem, I was monitoring the debit during my crashes, but it was fine, so maybe something related with cache… Since this reset, I didn’t experience 2014 error anymore for the last 3 days.

Issue Description:
I have tried multiple times to resolve this issue clientside thinking this was a problem with my setup, but after multiple attempts at fiddling with graphical settings and analyzing internet strength I’ve come to the conclusion this is a bug. Whenever I log in, and attempt to connect to any game, the game immediately kicks me from the session under the impression that it is an Error Code 2014. Seems reasonable at first, it might be my setup or ISP even if tests would show otherwise. However, regardless of selecting to leave session to rejoin a Mourningstar instance or rejoin the session, the game will instantly crash, giving me a GUID and no log links in the popups. Video Evidence provided actually managed to crash it without any further input.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Start Program via Steam
  2. Launch Darktide
  3. Log in as any Operative, example recording included
  4. Attempt to join any game at all
  5. Ready up
  6. Hear Error Code Display Sound
  7. Get booted to loading screen

Yeah, this is the exact set of symptoms and code I’m getting when trying to launch a mission. This game is all I want to play right now but legitimately unplayable.
