I’ve tried messing with video settings from the launcher as well, nothing changes it. Disabled Shadowplay too… restarted router/computer, etc.

It’s a game issue I’m pretty sure they just need to patch something.

I set up a VPN to try it. Connected to Sweden. Entered without problems. Without a VPN, it does not connect at all.

Update: Played through prologue and 2 trainning missions. And server bounced me again. And again: error signing in

Will be waiting for server fix. Still Game is total Fire. I loved so much. Love you devs.

Windscribe, that seems to work, but it’s not a sustainable solution really.

After Psykhanium Training any character loading is interrupted with an error:

Since the open Beta for pre-orders launched I have not been able to get past the ++ Processing Inquisitorial Clearance ++ screen at all and get back end errors every time I try. Resulting in no crash reports but I am completely unable to play the game still with attempts over 6+ hours after the betas launch.

Issue: Yo, uh, I get to the first page and whenever I try to click it I get “Backend Error - Error Signing In” that sort of thing.

Steps. 1. Open game. 2. Click on intro screen 3. Despair

I was able to play the closed beta without this issue but now after the first opening video clip it takes you too the menu where you push “space” then it says it gives me “Backend Error error signing in”

Attempting to authenticate in game just after opening cutscene (prior to any character creation) After pressing the spacebar I receive a backend error. I received the same error during the previous Beta.

Same issue as several others described to the point that I can copy and paste another’s reply post for my own:
Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Launch game from steam.
  2. Press play from launcher
  3. Press “space” to log in.
    –The first attempt was after watching the opening cinematic. For the subsequent attempts, I had hit ESC to skip the cinematic.
  4. Game crashes at “processing inquisitorial clearance” with backend error message.
    “Backend Error
    Error Signing In”
  5. If I hit “Close” from the backend error screen, my only option is to hit the spacebar to try to log in.

Rebooted my PC before my last attempt and it happened the same way as it had the previous three attempts.

Seeing the same issue as everyone else…
load screen hit space to continue, time out backend error after a bit.
Tried:

  • giving darktide.exe controlled folder access bypass.
  • tried changing steam name to no spaces or other characters (just bushi).
  • Tried vpn
  • Tried doing a full file check in steam
  • Delete config file, though I don’t have old beta bits.

No joy

The general lack of support response with things to try is kind of alarming but I guess strongly suggests it’s on their end.
Steam refund until it’s confirmed really fixed and not more paying beta testers guessing.

I looked through the logs, there is nothing obvious but attached anyway.
Since this has been persisted for some it seems since closed beta… i’m not optimistic. I will note that vermintide 1 and 2 run fine as does everything else in the verse.

I don’t know why, but I was able to fix the Backend Error problem by switching my DNS server to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
go ahead and try this, it might help

I’ve been getting consistent backend errors as soon as I press start game after character creation. Currently on Steam, MalantheGreat, happening at 11/18/2022, 08:40 (+02:00) and after

Just received backend error for the first time. Side note, we need a way to quit the game at the splash screen. had to terminate from task manager because the backend error would not let me go to screen I could quit to desktop from.

Steps to reproduce: Not entirely sure. I had just finished an assassination mission and was in the loading screen to go back to the hub.
