I have been able to play your game so far until just now today. Every time I try to launch WH40k Darktide it just gives the error: Backend Error error signing in. Resulting in me just closing the game with taskmanager or alt-tab, can you please help me?
Backend Error again today. 4th day. Gonna post and spam each day I get this until it gets fixed. Tried both builds. No antivirus. “Solutions” don’t work at all.

have you tried using VPN? mine always 100% work after activating my VPNGate and switch to JPN server only to bypass login screen, then turning it off on character screen
i am currently experiencing a backend error since today i have been able to recreate it 100 % of the time
but yesterday i was able to play without any problems
i have tried turning the wifi off and on again the game and the router and nothings changed
Adding to Kaserpsky exclusions or making a trusted program did not help. Only turning off Kaspersky services totally helped, but not sure if the vulnerability is worth it!
Ok reinstalling Kaspersky seems to have fixed it.
Started getting this error since yesterday, oddly enough NordVPN seems to be causing it. When I disable the VPN it stops happening. I tried doing Split tunneling so I can still have my VPN but that doesn’t work either. Before yesterday I did not have any issues.

Still cannot connect with NordVPN, regardless of what country. Are they blacklisting VPN servers or something? Have literally never had ANY issues connecting with a VPN in ANY game. No experimental “fix” helped. No word from anyone on this specific issue. Ridiculous some can only connect with a vpn and some can’t. Figure it out.
In latest Community Update there were no info on new backend error fixes. I hope they just forgot to mention it and that there will be something

It’s been 5 days since i cant play because of “Backend Error”.

All I got is standard Windows Defender, and I checked it, even put game to exceptions but no luck. I also installed another antivirus to check for viruses just in case but nothing
I basically tied everything suggested here that might help. Sadly nothing changed. So I think that it’s on dev side, especially because I was able to play before
I’ve been having “Backend Error” in both closed and pre-order beta, even on launch I wasn’t able to play the game. My game never actually started in fullscreen - there was always the taskbar visible. Without changing anything to my knowledge, the game suddenly started in actual fullscreen and I was able to play the game just fine from then on until now… due to the new patch, my game again can’t start in fullscreen. Changing my resolution or changing to windowed (in the launcher) does nothing as if these settings don’t get recognized by the game client. Perhaps the devs can investigate this? And no, Alt + Enter doesn’t do the trick.
I’ve been able to play for 30hrs but now I can no longer play… on this occasion, I also wanted to congratulate you because you are the first devs to make a game literally unplayable for me after I was already able to play it…
As of update 1.0.20 I can’t login to the game anymore (e.g. can’t get past the login screen after intro animations). When pressing space, the game responds with Backend error and stays at the login screen.

EDIT: I was able to resolve this particular issue by enabling “Run as administrator” for the launcher.
In my case I run my exe file in the Binaries folder as administrator, totally skipping the launcher. Works for me.
When I press space at the login screen I get the following error:
I would get this from time to time before update 1.0.20 and I could restart my computer and internet to resolve it. Now I cannot login at all due to this error. Over 100 hours in the game and I can’t play as of the new update.
