Kinetic Flayer not triggering with Voidstrike staff projectiles

Issue Description:

Kinetic Flayer perk for psyker doesn’t seem to apply to voidstrike staff projectiles

Steps to Reproduce:
[Please add the steps that can help our QA department in reproducing the issue. For example:]

  1. Play as psyker with kinetic flayer perk and use the voistrike staff on high difficulty
  2. Intentionally use low damage shots to plink at beefy enemies (shoot their legs only, so it will be obvious when the brain burst triggers)
  3. Note that after a ton of non-lethal hits you’ll never proc a free brain burst on any target. These projectiles seem to never have a 10% chance to trigger a brain burst.
  4. This perk is useless with this staff.

This is all anecdotal but i have played through a ton of missions with this staff and perk selected without using brainburst to specifically see if i ever trigger passive brain bursts and my warp charges never seem to increase.

I should also note that other people have told me it is triggering for them. Perhaps it is the perks on my staff that are causing the issue. I’m going to run tests in the meatgrinder and report back.

Okay it seems to be working in the meatgrinder. I guess it’s just less easy to notice when you’re running the voidstrike staff.
