When playing the game it will refuse to register inputs at times. I will be trying to dodge left for example I press A and nothing happens. This happens will every single key and although I have 60 fps and have more than enough CPU and GPU resources the issue persist. I considered it being a issue of too many keys being used at once and tried a mechanical keyboard only for the issue to remain. I have tried everything I could think of. As a note I am on linux Ubuntu specifically, however this issue has persisted between operating systems as I had this issue when on windows aswell.
If you Alt+Tab out of Darktide, are keyboard inputs not being registered generally?
Do you have any other input devices connected? e.g. controller, stream deck, tablet etc. if so, does the issue persist after disconnecting them?
Does the issue occur if you try switching to a different USB port?
Otherwise, as a shot in the dark, it could be helpful to try a clean reinstallation of Darktide (involving deleting your AppData - which will reset all custom settings e.g. keybinds, graphics, loadouts etc.):
*as Linux is not officially supported I can’t provide tailored steps for this OS:
To answer the first question during moments where the inputs would refuse to be registered, yes it persisted if I alt tabbed.
I had a webcam plugged in and it would appear that the issue is gone I have tested it over 3 matches and at the very least its signifigantly less prevalant and somehow even my FPS has increased.
I had tried using different USB ports in the past and yes it did persist even between different kind of USB’s.
If the issue returns how should I contact you again?
This is the model of webcam I was using in case it helps in the future.
Thanks for the info @Purplespirit854, as the issue persisted outside of Darktide, it would suggest that it was a general input conflict for your system, and not specific to Darktide itself.
I’m glad to hear that the issue has seemingly resolved though!
