Kenetic flayer not working as intended, 4% not 10% Chance

as the title says, took it into matches and training noticed its way less than 10% of my hits, after some testing i found its likely closer to 4% like psychic communion.

in testing grounds
Test Enemy = Crusher
Test Weapon = Gray Shredder Auto-pistol
Testing Range = 50 Brain Bursts

Test
i used the Auto-pistol 35 round chip fired until i got a brain burst, recorded shots,
reloaded repeated 100 times only stopping to reload or let the Crusher respawn.

Number of Bursts 50
Number of Shots 1237
50 / 1237 = 0.0404 or 4.04%

so not 10% but closer to 4%,

I asked the devs and they confirmed that everything looks good from the code side. The feat has a 15 second cooldown before it can proc again, are you sure you accomodated for that in your tests?

Assuming that Kinetic Flayer works as described in the tooltip (All hits have a 10% chance) this may just be an error in how you’re interpreting probabilities. A 10% chance for brain burst doesn’t necessarily imply that, out of any given number of shots, 10% of them will proc brain burst.

If I roll a ten-sided die 100 times, and it only lands on three 5 times, that doesn’t mean there was ever a probability lower than 1/10 for it to land on three. That probability exists for each individual roll, or in this case, individual attack.

yes i took into acount the 15 second pause, i actually waited 30ish seconds after a burst to ensure the next would beable to proc,

it may be that im just unlucky, and it could be my sample size is too small, but if they say its a flat 10% it still seems odd, but not unlikely.
