Basically I remember one of the patches nerfed QQing (quickswitching) melee weapons (S, GK, WP) for extra deeps by introducing some hidden cooldown or smth.
However recently I’ve noticed that you can (still?) QQ quite effectively.
They never did anything about QQ cancel. The only thing they did was nerfing couple weapon’s QQ cancel timing, making them worse/not worth using.
Nah this was just an archiac nerf to the 2HH, for the crime of being amazing on Slayer. There are still a ton of weapons with like 0 input delay after attacks, like rapier, falchion, sword/dagger, dagger and so many more. As well as a ton of weapons with a fast L1 and a quick cancel window, like both spears, Sienna mace and flail, Brett Longsword, Kruber spear and shield and so on. It was bad when the 2HH did it, even though you still needed the rest of the moveset unlike some of the offenders above.
Well the one handers can’t do anything really spectacular with qqing
Brett longsword on merc with that trick never needs to move his feet, push or block until an armored enemy appears. They aren’t all tricks for single target damage, no.
That might be so, but I avoid using QQing. It breaks the immersion for me.
