They don’t need it, they’ve already made bank and do not need to alienate their playerbase 
Sadly, still not played Ragnarok. Loved the initial reboot, though. They command my respect, especially considering their director assumed his work was garbage at first.
Tbf for the steam release of dwarf fortress when they wanted to actually give it official graphics they had to hire on a full extra team to deliver all that. I would imagine something similar for delivering Nvidias raytracing partnership stuff for Darktide, and that still gave them grief with all the GPU crashes.

Why would they troll us? We clearly have been asking for more dogs as they are fun to dodge and fight.
I hope they get numbers on how many people play missions with modifiers because I may avoid the dogs one.
The only reason I see them injecting them into the game at a higher volume is so they can get more data on how they are interacting with players. But thats pure speculation. I’m 100% sure they think it’s funny.

They are not trolling us with the idea of laughing at us. They are deceiving us with the idea of getting the most profit possible with the least possible effort.
When serious companies release a new game, they improve it compared to the previous one. They stick with what works and sometimes take risks with new ideas. Here we have a show where we go backwards in fun and forward in benefits for them. In the short term, of course, because the wolf’s ears can already be seen.

I think they just don’t play their own game, and they’re panicking because of the negative feedback, so this is their attempt at “delivering content”.
It just a lack of communication internally. The devs must not be on the same page. The intentions were greater than they could deliver, and their employees sending the message were given hyped up values.
How do I report Fatshark for trolling
You have to record and screenshot and post it to youtube, no report function yet in an online multiplayer game.
I wouldn’t be surprised if all the mats or weapons are client side at this point
