How hard is it to post a community update?

I’m honestly asking cus it seems to be very hard judging by how long its taking.

Before you say sh*t better say nothing at all.
Poor CM gagged and tied up

They said they need to sit around a fire and discuss… it seems they had not done it before.
Also, they have just come back from their 2 weeks of break.

More seriously, I don’t think we will get one this week. I think that they did not work on anything and now they will start to work on something. If we get something it will be next week and a minor patch that won’t bring any content.
I really hope I am totally wrong but… considering the words I read from the community manager I have no real hope.

Aqshy said “EARLIEST” this week. Which I believe in corpo speak means “not this week”. More of a non-reply really. And, despite my irritation and bewilderment at the lack of foresight the higher ups have displayed: repeatedly posting about an update (since there are now several posts in general about it) probably isn’t the most productive thing.

Immeasurably complex.

When a large part of your game’s community is as toxic and cynical as this one, you want to make sure your next official communication is as comprehensive and accurate as possible. Some people are just looking for an excuse to call you a liar, incompetent, or whatever else toxic people do.

Fatshark made the community toxic, most of the community (including myself believe it or not) were understanding and optimistic for a while that was until
a) The game wasn’t released as feature complete and with huge bugs
b) They didn’t keep their promise about full crafting in december
c) people getting impatient waiting for an update after this long break

This is my first fatshark game but I found out recently there’s a bit of a history with regards to previous fatshark titles.

This is also my first Fatshark game, and it will be my last. 6 weeks after release and I’ve literally run out of content to play in this “live service” game.

Hard … and its nothing new at this point. For those who have not been with fatshark on their previous adventures i can only say “welcome” get used to it.
Even getting update next week might be too much of an ask.

If they can’t even post a community update today I doubt we’d even see a update within 2 weeks.

Its a shame with how many players they’ve lost and how much review scores have dropped I would have thought they would want to get something out soon.

Yeah, anyone who was around for VT2, and VT1 to some extent, has already gone through this exact crap before, its like having an abusive spouse you keep going back to despite knowing better “Im sure he did not mean to release a half broken product, im sure it will be different this time”

My goodwill towards the developers pretty much tanked during VT2`s many miss steps.

I would rather have an update with good information than an update which only serves to placate people.

I just found this link in another thread which makes me think we should not get our hopes up for an update for several months, until after the console release if we go by the pattern of their last 5 releases games, even before Vermintide

I feel like this information needs shared around

i find it funny, since closed beta we gave them explicit feedback what needs to be done and changed, and now they come up with a survey?
Are they kidding me? They ignored everything even PM’s with band aid and in depth solutions to their system’s which drive players away, but they ignored it all even the PM’s and forum threads, even on reddit.
Seems magnusson don’t want to accept he failed and came up with this.

They didn’t make people toxic. I’m not happy at all with missing features, how the shop works, clipping in cosmetics that I paid for, or any number of things. I’m also not out there saying Fatshark should be shut down or personally attacking the employees and their intelligence. That’s the toxicity I’m referring to.

You can be angry, annoyed, upset, or whatever at the fact that key things are missing or incomplete, but you can also be constructive in how you provide that feedback. If they still don’t listen, flood social media with that constructive criticism. You just don’t have to be an a**hole about it. That cosmetics video that floated around recently was the perfect example of being constructive without being toxic.

Best they can do is an automated store refresh and another not-cutscene promo explaining our not story. When asked for additional info on the subject Aqshy confirmed that there are lights on and possibly warm bodies at Fat Shark HQ. Possibly, might need to wait for an update on that situation. And Chinese New Year is right around the bend, these poor guys deserve another break.
