*When a large part of your games community is as let down and disillusioned as this one, you want to make sure your next official communication is as boiler-plate, non-statement as possible. Some people are just looking for an excuse to demand basic things, communication, or whatever else reasonable people do when they paid for a product and its ongoing support by the creators.
well i say that radio silence breeds toxicity, i agree that they didn’t made us toxic but their behaviour encourages people to be toxic to vent the frustration of being ignored, while nothing changes that breeds toxicity.
Edit: also remember most people who go now toxic where more than civil beforehand, gave solutions and constructive critic in the closed betas and know the company since vermintide days.
But they get also reminded of fatshark’s behaviour to their community since vermintide days.
Well the CM lives in a different hemisphere from the devs and has probably gotten about as much info out of them as we have. So… pretty hard I’d wager.
You fixed it for yourself. My statement stands. They want to make sure whatever they communicate they can stick to 100%. Besides, we already have a statement from Aqshy saying that they would provide an update on our feedback soon (this week at the earliest, but more likely later than that).
Basically means “if we’re lucky and everyone in each department agrees in the first round of meetings, we might get something out by close of business on Friday, but don’t count on it”.
You should get the difference between beeing toxic and beeing disapointed.
I’m not toxic, the actual gameplay loop is great, I for myself just angry that there is not a single word or post on the Forum like…
“Hey, we hear you - please give us some more time, it is a lot of feedback reaching us during the past weeks, some of it may need deeper changes to the game and of course those things we need to elaborate internaly. We’re just back from the holiday break and doing our best to give you something soon. Please be patient, thank you that you are sticking with us.”
Definitely doesn’t look good when they can’t even be bothered to tweet out some news or post on their own forums.
I get the whole “playing it safe” approach but at some point responsibility needs to be firmly placed on the shoulders of those making the decisions and someone needs to accept accountability for the mistakes.
This is not the type of behavior that instills confidence into your playerbase.
Realistically its all hands on deck to get the console ports released, as those are sales they are missing and they clearly are in desperate need of money.
Well maybe if the playerbase wasent a bunch of whiny little brats complaining about the game while they are on vacation someone might have felt sorry for you. Cry some more about a $40 video game? Go on! Keep up this wonderful energy!
If you think we should be sympathetic after they have had three weeks vacation, you’re barking up the wrong tree.
What makes them so special? I work twelve hour days, six days a week. I had two days vacation over the entirety of the holidays and I worked on Christmas Day and New Years. My job is also definitely much harder than any of their jobs are, I certainly don’t sit in a plush office all day and hang out on my computer.
Their communication has been terrible, period. It’s unacceptable.
They pumped up their VT2 community, then they delivered a product that was half-baked, lacking basic features and not as advertised.
Why are you defending practices that have factually made this industry worse for the consumer over the last ten years? You’re bootlicking for a company that makes video games because people are angry that the product they purchased wasn’t up to snuff?
Darwinism at it’s finest, someone get this guy his award.
Considering I couldn’t play it for two weeks due to a bad patch and features are missing from the game, I’d say no. I ran out of content because there barely is any.
Well we sorta agree here then. Hopefully they release more content soon. I just look at it differently then most do I suppose. At the end of the day I care, but I don’t care if that makes any sense. Cause at the end of the day, it is just a $40 video game added to the 100’s of steam games in my library.
Im not defending or bootlicking anything. Sounds like you like to make up stories on a video game forum. Hey we all get bored sometimes I suppose. If this is your hobby then go for it man, I wont stop you. /shrug
I’ve definitely been guilty of being a bit of a brat… But it comes from a place of love if that makes sense? I like this game so much, it’s hard not to get infuriated when the things that hold it back get in the way. I’ve tried to be more calm and collected with my criticism lately, and have fewer “heated gamer moments.”
I agree with you. Sometimes you want something you like or love to be just more than what it is. I totally get it. Heck im still excited for the future of this game. Some new classes and maps and missions will go a long way to keep this game fun. Here is to hoping! raises beer glass
You absolutely defended and bootlicked, trying to backpedal now after being called out for it just exposes you as a coward and immediately removes all credibility from your statements past, present or future.
Your initial statements were insults and nothing else. You came here specifically with the intent to get a rise out of people who are already upset. You’re a real credit to modern day society, I’m sure you fit right in with the rest of the lemmings.
You keep making these little quips that you seem to think are clever (cry more comment, the energy comment, the hobby comment, etc…) but they really are not. If anything, all that they provide is the impression that you’re either an immature young adult or a horribly immature adult.
Thats apathy, fantastic you’re not as wound up as some people but stop telling people not to care because of the games value. I could have paid twice as much or half as much for darktide, the monetary cost is irrelevant to how I view the game.
