Increase Plasteel DROPS PLEASE!

As long as the crafting system remains as is no amount increase in Plasteel and/or cash drop rates will ever be enough. Brunt’s Pachinko Parlor, and Hadron’s Slot Machine Salon will swallow all your resources as fast as you get them.

Good to know. I swear some things are regional. Much like these sinister knife zealot speedrunners that are purported to be around every corner. Otherwise why would we have so many threads about punishing speed runners?

I’ve run into 2 total; something I keep mentioning. Maybe its my relatively low playtime at under 500 hours so my sample size is low, or maybe all the runners are on from France (WW2 jokes never get old), and they are just on the EU servers.

I think most of the speedrunners are probably starting to use that “true solo” mod once they reach Level 30. That’s probably why they aren’t around as often as they used to be for the people that did experience them a lot. Most of the ones that I do rarely see these days are around-about Level 21.

Definitely a North America thing, I’ve run into ‘mic on forever’ people a few times, and they always are impossible to understand under the voice compression.

Anyway, yeah. Plasteel drops need to be enhanced. There were a couple weeks where a bug made crafting effectively cost like 20% of what it normally does and apparently that actually made player numbers jump so, uh…yeah, Fatshark, slap a 0 onto what each plasteel container does rq.

Ofc we’re not going to see that because every dev plays with an obscene amount of resources on their account and they have no idea what the actual system feels like.

I think I get where you’re coming from but I don’t think I agree. At very least with little current use for diamante it functions as a choke point in your resources for crafting that feels artificially limiting. I also think it’s only “enough” if the team makes a decent effort to get most mats out of the level. I really wish at least a substantial amount of the total mission resources were just gained on completion with pickups being more of a “bonus”.

I think it’d likely be fine alternatively if selling weapons awarded crafting mats as well as dockets.

Really there are a few ways you could make it fine but when you pile all the systems (or in some places lack of systems eg diamante to plasteel conversion) it’s hard for me to feel like it’s “fine”. I’d agree lower difficulties having egregiously lower resource drops is a bigger issue for sure though.

during the plasteel bug of relogging in and getting 80% back, it felt right, either increase drops ro decrease costs

Considering the massive scam that is Brunt, Ordos are actually in far lower supply than Plasteel. Not that I would mind a buff to Plasteel/all crafting mats. Or just a removal of the crafting system entirely.

This seems to be the intent behind how crafting works, force the players into an RNG death spiral to keep them playing.

i don’t see how you can be spending that much on one gun. what are you goals to meet before you’re satisfied with a weapon?

I have an orange one of each weapon in the game. I always have crafting mats for new ones.
If you craft tons of weapons to MIN/MAX then you’re engaging in a very dumb thing and I don’t think FatShark needs to hold your hands with that, in fact I do hope everyone who cares about that will uninstall.

Imagine telling people to uninstall the game when they want to interact with the crafting system in the way FS themselves advertised it.

But you know probably better than FS anyway. Surely FS ment “just use something” when they wrote “depth of customising your weaponry and loadout for the perfect playstyle you wish to engage with”.

30 weapons? You are funny. The current system would require hundreds or even thousands to min mix.

Alot of people are not even looking for a perfect weapon, which you would know if you would read what they put down. Probably too much to ask for, since you dont even see the need to read what FS puts down.

How do you know what a “satisfactory version of every weapon in the game” is? Youtube videos? A tingling in your gut? A fortune telling gremlin on your shoulder?
You dont. You just expect it to be good enough because you have no way of giving Blessing and Perk combinations a try. That leads to plenty of people claiming certain weapons just not being “good enough”, because they never had the chance to try them with the combination which would make them.

The game would be more fun if we would be able to play with the Blessings and Perks we think work together, like FS advertised.
