I Starve; More Chaos Wastes Content

Here’s what I’d like to see:

  • More faction specific enemies to fight against.

I always found it weird on how the Ubersreik would banter on why they’re only seeing rotbloods in the Chaos Wastes, Saltzpyre’s response notwithstanding; it really doesn’t make sense that lesser daemons or chaos specific enemies wouldn’t show up in the areas in which are controlled by the Chaos Gods. I’d love to see a diversity in chaos worshipers instead of always rotbloods. One easy tweak would be changing the clothing colors of the rotbloods to better match the domain they’re in - Khorne domains would have red colored clothing, The One Who Thirsts would have purple colored clothing, and so on. Also tweaking Chaos Spawn to better represent the domain he’s in by changing the color of his little under flap clothing too. This would would add some nice replayability.

  • More pathways in overmap to explore

I’d like a bigger overmap to explore with more nodes to vote on. Feels like this mode goes by fast when you get the boons, the right team, the right blessings - it all goes by fast. Extending it would be nice; more shrines, more temples, more effects like Be’lakor affecting the world. Or maybe we can an endless mode. Another idea is bringing the boss fights from the campaign into side optional nodes that players can vote on with the risk of the encounters being harder than their vanilla fights but with the chance of rare boons if won.

That’s basically all that I want really.

For a long time I’ve been hoping that Fatshark would add more chaos faction enemies specific to the other chaos gods for the chaos wastes and perhaps some other Skaven clans and Skaven enemies. Just being familiar with Warhammer Total War, there’s so much more out there that would suit the game. I’d also like a 5-player co-op mode, more boons, curses, traits and more paths.

There’s a cool mod called Peregrinage Misfortunes that modifies the chaos wastes to allow for 5 players at a time (the entire Ubersriek 5) and has variants of Holseher’s Map from about 3 missions up to something like 12 if I recall, some with more pathways and lots more potential boons, weapon traits and properties and interesting challenges.
The annoying thing is, he’s made all the arenas much longer and added a lot of jarring mechanics like enemies punching your view when they land or climb ledges and curses that have flashing colors or visual nausea. Some of the curses and such I wish were optional, but he’s firm that he knows what makes it fun and so I don’t use it anymore.

Yeah I know about Peregrinage. Sadly it’s on modded realm and nobody plays it on there. I do like some features where you can fight Lords in chests and being able to reroll properties.

I don’t really care for Peregrinage anymore but the modded realm is still really fun to try out stuff if you have a group of friends willing to play it. That’s how we play with more than 4 players at a time and such.

We once did an all Grail Knight run with 7 of us on Twitch Cata 300% with Tzeentch Twins and something like 1000% increase in roaming enemies and all of them were elites, and we discovered with BTMP, that all the grail knight quest bonuses stack, and it was stupid fun. I recommend finding or making a friendly Discord group with people that enjoy Vermintide and similar games.
