I just saw a livestream of Parting the Waves, and I noticed that the flavour dialogue refers to the 5th member not being with them, and in the finale the 5th member is the one who helps the rest of the team escape.
I wish this was common practice of all maps from the start.
Like if in Horn of Magnus and Empire in Flames, it’s revealed the infinitely spawning exploding barrels is being brought to the area through the efforts of the 5th member. Or in Trail of Treachery, you lighting all the braziers is what triggers the 5th member to unlock the cabin and secret cavern. Or if in Righteous Stand, it’s the 5th member who raised the secret exit and waiting for everyone from underneath.
I kinda don’t like it because I wish they’d increase the team limit from 4 to 5, and just increase spawns when a 5th player joins. Misfortunes mod, for all it’s issues, plays great with all 5 players and it’s one of the best things about the mod.
They should put the remaining member at the end obelisk always on every map, saying things like “where have you been?” “I thought you wouldn’t make it” “you don’t want to know” and such.
