I don't like current state of DT / Do you ? / SURVEY

People are begging to be able to play Vet in a way that allows them to sit there and shoot people forever and then just don’t want to play the build that lets you do that.

Havoc 40 is so easy that it fools people into thinking a build is strong just because it managed to clear

Just rm rf this site at this point

It’s selfish to run a build that offers the team nothing, demands protection, and still can’t put up good DPM numbers.

Whatever makes you rock hard sir :eggplant:

Most of the playerbase will never even get to H40 but Im glad you find it easy.

What I find amazing is the divide between people who say Havoc is too hard and grueling and those who think its too easy. Its almost as if there is a spectrum of skill.

If it’s so easy then why are you freaking out about dpm?

The answer has been given. For some it may be difficult, for others it’s simple. If everyone would just stop playing those selfish builds with no redeeming qualities, most people would be able to clear Havoc 40. I hope so

Have you tried having fun?

If your fun comes at the cost of your team’s defeat, that is utterly selfish.

Works on my machine.

I believe some professional players can carry a team to victory using non-meta builds through sheer individual skill, but please don’t label them as strongest build. Ranged Veterans are categorically weak in Havoc.

This is untrue. They would need hundreds of hours of practice, probably over 1k hours.

If you go to the Hong Kong server, you’ll find a huge number of lobbies running Havoc 40.

This sentence kinda sums up the entire problem with havoc in its current form.

No fun allowed in Havoc. ONLY PAIN.

Number of lobbies doesnt = Lobbies full of Meta or lobbies with good players.

Or maybe Hong Kong servers are full of hardcore meta-sweats .
I also doubt most of those players have under 1k hours.

Regardless, H40 is very hard for normal humans. Many on these forums say its too hard, especially right now. That you are putting someone down (who is actively completing H40s btw) because they dont fulfill your vision of enough dps, well I lose a little respect towards you, for what its worth anyway :face_with_tongue:

well the honest truth is that he isn’t successful outside those autopilot builds and wants every one to get dragged to that level of nincompoopery where you can ignore most all the mechanics in the game and bunga through mixed crowds. I think we get it now, otherwise he wouldn’t be so mad at people clearing havoc 40 with multiple exe stance Hellbore vets.

this is also proof of the garbage havoc 40 experience that forces most players to adopt the brute force approach and never actually learn any mechanics or enemy interactions

Indeed, there’s been some good ideas thrown around - like the Ritualist being the sole source of Encroaching heals, Rampaging, Final Toll and Rotten Armour. Deny the Ritualist his ritual, deny the modifiers. Ritualist becomes a game altering Specialist, and creates urgency to get him eliminated before he buffs a large group of enemies. Shout out to @harlekein for that one.

I don’t mean to belittle anyone, and I admire that someone was able to complete Havoc 40 with a non-meta approach, but that doesn’t mean a particular build is a strong one.

Clearly, the exe vet build lacks sufficient damage and team utility—it can’t be considered a strongest build.

I’ve also cleared Havoc 40 many times using the exe vet build, but I would never call it a strong build and recommend it to others, as it clearly doesn’t hold any advantage compared to meta builds.

It’s not weak though. Why don’t you just play it for a match or two?
