I cant join the game due to communication error

Issue Description (Required):

I cant join my friend due to “communication restrictions”. I allowed playing outside xbox live however the problem did not go away. (We play through the xbox game pass using the pc xbox launcher)

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. Go to socials
    2.Send friend request to my friend who i have friended on xbox app and we both have the multiplayer games enabled in the settings
  2. The communication restrictions error pops up.

Sorry to hear this Adepta. It sounds like you’ve already done this, but please could both you and the person you’re attempting to play with triple-check that your Xbox Privacy & Online Safety options (Xbox Official Site: Consoles, Games and Community | Xbox) are set as:

  • You can join multiplayer games = Allow
  • You can play with people outside of Xbox Live = Allow
  • You can communicate outside of Xbox Live with voice & text = Everyone or Friends

Everything is set to everyone allowed or unfiltered on both accounts. It still shows the same error.
