"Join request failed due to communication restrictions error" when joining strike team

Issue Description:

When i try to join the strike team of my friend, i get this error on the right side on the screen.

I tried to join random people’s strike team on mourningstar. And for some i get the exact message but for some my request to join was rejected as if i can be able to join their strike team.

Tried port forwarding but it did not work.

Had this issue before, 2 patches or so ago. Couldn’t be able to solve it.

Can anyone help me with this issue?

Are there any restrictions on your account? The below instructions might help, also have a look in that same list to see if there’s anything else that might be impacting it.

1. Open the Xbox App
2. Click on your username
3. Click ‘Settings’
4. On the ‘Account’ page, scroll down to ‘Privacy Settings’
5. Click the ‘Manage’ button on the right-hand side

• This will open a new browser tab, and instruct you to login

6. Log in if/when prompted
7. Select the ‘Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 devices Online Safety’ tab in the centre of the page
8. Enable or disable the option below:

• ‘You can play with people outside of Xbox Live’

9. Click ‘Submit’
