Yeah, and another one during the last patch when I got nothing but 3001 errors. Really hope the issues with connectivity and performance get sorted out soon, they continue to be by far my biggest pain points with the game and the main reason I stop playing.
To be fair, my odds of loading in with no issues have slightly increased with almost every patch but it’s crazy that this still happens the majority of the time.

It’s rough man, really sucks all the enthusiasm for playing out once you notice that loading screen has gone on a little too long. Been hearing a lot of people in my region are having similar issues, might have something to do with distance to the FS servers or something, who knows?
From what I have seen:
Ipv4 vs IPv6
Geographical location
Service provider/internet connectivity to the backbone
Operating system
VPN
I never had connectivity issues, but I would say technical issue that prevent people from even launching the game should be priority number 1 (even though it never affected me or friends, aside from the beta). Content locking would be second. New content last. (IMO).
I’d feel better if Fatshark wasn’t about to close their doors for months for vacay. It’s going to be a rough summer…

if you have an extra router/switch/wifiextender I would use that and see if that helps. When my GF and I try to play together one of us MUST connect to a different network for the game to work. I have 500+ games on steam and none of them have this issue but darktide.
So I don’t think it is a ‘me’ problem. I am not about to go through the trouble of setting static IPs and do a ton of port forwarding to try and solve a problem that lies on the devolpers lack of network coding.
So instead I plug in a wifi range extender name it to ‘darktide’ and switch to it when we feel like playing, which we don’t anymore. We deleted DT and reinstalled VT2, a far superior product.
BTW @FatsharkJulia just told me it sounds like a port forwarding issue like it was my lack of competence that was the issue when this is LITERALLY the only game that has this issue. Holy shart guys, robot roller derby disco dogeball got it right first try, from a SINGLE devoloper!
Appreciate the advice but to be real, no way in hell am I buying extra hardware because FS is bad at netcode.
Darktide is also the only game I own with anything even close to these kinds of problems. Want me to play the game, FS? Make it work right on my modest rig that can play any other modern online game with no issues.
I hear ya, if you don’t already have the extra equipment lying around don’t go buy something just to get this half done game to work. I feel like FS should have just said “We know you want dedicated servers for online matches, but we are too cheap/incompentant to make it happen so we are sticking to P2P”
DRG has season 4 coming out. Should keep you busy for a few months (if you have it)

its most likely the ipv6 dns resolve bug. disable ipv6 in windows and you should get chance to play…
… to face more bugs. if you have amd capable of raytracing i suggest using experimental build, it helps a lot.
this game is stacking odds against you everywhere on your path. what a design
is UPNP activated in your router? if not might solve this
