EDIT: Actually make it auto-skip if youâre reconnecting to a mission after a disconnect at the very least. The more time spent in a loading screen is more time spent not helping my team that I accidentally ditched because my game crashed.
you know i genuinely dont know why i acted like that towards you guys, i just like using the plasma gun. i usually play with friends so we just play to have fun and to feel like badasses killing everything, i see how it can ruin the fun for other people. the cleave is definitely WAY too high making it extremely unbalanced towards other builds giving an unfair advantage
can we expect future content soon? new maps/weapons, new special conditions, etc.
what about a halloween/Xmas events in future for Darktide?
wonder about the new commisar in the Mourningstar also, if we will get an expansion of it
also reported few bugs related to missing audio in some spots of the map
and some players spawning far ahead (not accessible to res them, because gate locked because of a mid event)
this is awful. please I have almost 2k hours in this game I just wanna play it more i dont wanna listen to masozi yap.
we still have issues with infinite loading screens why cant we have the really short ones???
Anyone else get this like weird grainy effect on their screen after the update? It behaves like a filter on my screen. My settings are the same except for the change to full screen.
Also, no idea why this screenshot turned out like it did with the menu slicing into the picture like that.
The grainy effect comes from FSR3 frame generation. Itâs really ugly in all games where I have tried enabling it.
I donât know why, but the FSR3 mod that supposedly also enables FSR3 frame generation doesnât appear to have this problem of producing this weird grainy/flickering effect.
I donât understand what the difference is, but the mod makes the game run just as fast if not faster than the in-game FSR3 frame generation, but it also looks much better (it looks like a high quality DLSS version of some sort).
I donât think plasma is perfect, it has several obvious flaws.
First of all, its extremely low ammunition efficiency, recovering ammunition has always been very painful for this weapon.
Second, it has a delay in firing, and since even hip fire requires automatic charging, you canât shoot immediately when you need it most, which often leads to some missed shooting opportunities.
Thirdly, it has a thermal system, which makes it necessary to stop for heat dissipation during high-intensity battles. Created a lot of gaps that could not be shot. There is also a need to take into account the loss of toughness due to heat dissipation
Overall, itâs a powerful weapon, but itâs slow and heavy, and needs to be used at the right time. If you rely on it completely, youâll soon run into trouble.
Regarding the charge mechanic, the reason why players rarely use it is because it lacks a sufficient bonus, the charge attack is slow and easy to explode, but the damage is not higher than three normal attacks, and this ammo consumption and risk do not encourage players to use it.
If a charged shot only consumes two normal shots of ammo, or if only a charged shot can penetrate a shield or a thicker cover, the player will use it more, and of course explode more, which is a worthwhile risk.
I donât think it is necessary to drastically reduce the cleavage of normal attacks, and the ability to penetrate the obstacles of ordinary enemies and hit the elite behind is a feature of this weapon.
Frame Generation ON still causes stuttering when opening the emote wheel in the Mourningstar or sending chat messages (both in Mourningstar and Missions).
Edit: Actually anything that causes the mouse cursor to appear. Like pressing ESC, opening Inventory, Emote Wheel, Chat, etc.
