I didn’t expected anything to come for at least a month or two, yet when I saw the update, I thought it would be something big. But no, it was some random fixes for problems I’ve never encountered.
When you change a file, no matter how small the change, they still have to upload the entire file. Or download in our case.
Disclaimer: This is in no way a defense of Fatshark or their company practices. Just an explanation as to why a 1gb download is the tiniest of changes.
Fatshark is never going to change until there are less than 1000 people playing this game. Down to 3k concurrent last week, let’s give it another month.
Not much we haven’t seen already, and no mention of it in the notes but the DID put the “under construction” model for the vendor in. Seems like the old pulpit+scrolls thing is out and statues are in?
It’ll be a shame if they scrap Sister Hestia before she even does anything.
A passageway behind the counter. For someone to walk in and out of I presume. You can also see into through the grating above where the left-hand penance book used to be.
Reminder that the actual purpose of these slopfixes is to spew the bi-monthly batch of recolored slop into the shop, though apparently they didn’t quite manage it in time for the scheduled slop rotation this week.
Let’s be honest, if not for the fact they wanted to avoid everyone tearing strips off them for only updating the paid cosmetic store, these ‘hotfixes’ wouldn’t exist. They’re literally whatever Sven the Intern could slap together and call bugfixing to cover for all the random nonsense they’ve added to the game.
One of the problems (at least for me) was that as soon as the ping increased by 90+, mobs and other things were flying in the sky, etc., there was a complete feeling that the ping was 160 when 90 was displayed, and when it started to reach 100+ it felt like with a ping of 240+. Now, after your miracle fix with a ping of 90, I don’t see that the mobs are slowing down, etc., flying into space, everything works through one place. Now there was a skating rink with a ping of 92 where now I was starting to be dragged back as from the Persian principle when rewinding time literally, the killing of mobs happened immediately as they appeared, only animation and so on happened with a delay of 1.5 seconds. If you say that my computer is weak (I just recently installed a 4080 super, and before that I had a 3060 ti and they worked in this game in the same way)
Dear FS, tell us the secret of HOW you manage to make things worse and worse with each patch or fix. The new difficulty should come from mobs, not from technical problems.
HOW?
They massively increased player power with the class overhaul and everything since then has been them desperately trying to compensate by shoving even more enemies in.
