dear developers
what were you thinking…?
Blessing itself seems good for a thunder hammer. The duration on the other hand, yikes.
There’s just too much junk bloating up the selection. We can do without it. They need to trim the fat down, focus less on fulfilling a banal quota, and focus more on giving players meaningful choices that facilitate fun. When you have interesting choices to play around with, it compels people to invest themselves into the game. A similar game that is based on the 40k setting in which I feel does this better is Inquisitor Martyr. I can sit here and reroll my stats and I’ll always get something that’s useful for me:
Sure, If I wanted, I can spend my time trying to get that one enchantment that’ll fit into my psyker build, however, If I don’t get it then it’s not a big deal. As most of the enchantments are usually useful for me and sometimes the different enchantments I do get force me to try out new builds. The cool thing is that once I do get an enchantment that I like but am not satisfied with the value it came with. I can then reroll that value:
My point in this is that there’s RNG, however, unlike Darktide’s oppressive systems that serve to restrict rather than empower, there’s enough safe guards in Inquisitor Martyr that I don’t feel like I’m being screwed over by the game.
Maybe we need to help them visualise 0.5 seconds.
Does this help, devs?
Edit: The only way to get use out of this blessing is killing a bunch of dudes with a heavy attack and then follow up with a light. Perhaps it’ll even proc during your heavy swing but really, how useful is that?
Does Fatshark even have game designers?
So many thoughtless decisions.
