Useless blessings (discussion)

Well, we have all seen useless blessings in the pool offered by Fatshark.
I believe several are just weird option that can increase the difficulty to find the right blessing for a weapon and there are some that are or broken, or need adjustments.

About weapons with too many blessings, I believe this is too late and nothing can be done, cause, it could impact people that have these blessings.
But, about useless blessings, and blessings that need improvement, here something can be done.

Please, list the blessings you think that are useless, or need changes, and what you propose to correct it. I will do that in the following post.

In my opinion, few blessings need improvement. Note that I won’t talk about bugged blessings.

Decapitator
This blessing should not need to one shot someone before giving you a bonus… Or did I miss something?

Perfect strike
Here, I would say it needs to add a bonus to critic chances

Devastating strike
Make it similar to BM. I know that it was that before and that it was nerfed. But the nerf made this blessing useless. So I would say that BM, Deathblow, devastating strike and perfect strike, should work the same.
T1, the swing when meet the condition, T2 the swing when meet the condition + 1 swing etc, T3 the swing when meet the condition + 2 swings, T4 the swing when meet the condition + 3 swings

Shock & Awe
Simple… they have to tweak the duration. T1 1.5s, T2 2.5s etc.

Speedload
Reduce the bonus (eventually) and remove the need to slide.

Sustained fire
Reduce the bonus and make that all shot past the first, and that target the same enemy, get a bonus.

I would Include Limb Splitter as well, while it’s not so terribly useless and some niche use. The fact that it have downside while blessing like Power Cycler or Slaughterer have none and still give so much more power really feel like weird design decision.

Also the fact that you can’t choose to remove it because of terrible crafting system make it pretty irritating.

That’s true… I would say that they should reduce the bonus and remove the penalty.
In fact, if you have a bonus only for the first hit, you sacrifice a blessing slot for this and you cannot put something like headtaker…

I don’t think most of these don’t even need reduce bonus tbh. Limb Splitter 10-25% power on first attack is really not too OP or anything. Even Decimator can give up to 20-50% power just from chaining your attack.

Either they make the downside/condition gone, or make the upside give a lot more bonus to be worth it. I kinda prefer the latter since it also affect how player use their weapon too.

I would say blessing that grant more power just from killing enemies is pretty no brainer, I mean what the hell are you suppose to do with your weapon anyway if not use it to kill enemy? lol

+10-25% unconditional power on the first strike in an engagement is a game-changer. I was running Opening Salvo (t3 + 12.5%) on K12 since it allows you to one-shot trappers on the first shot without ult on the vet. Maybe Slaughterer is better overall, but it can be very impactful.
