Alrighty, so, I updated my Driver (In hindsight a bad idea), afterwards everything looks bad with especially bad anti-aliasing and frame rates (makes the game unplayable), other games of mine work normally, tried to reinstall the game but it didn’t fix the problem, tried to delete the shader cache, then deleted all game folders and reinstalled, verified game integrity, reinstalled the driver with a clean re-instalation, still havent fixed it, Ill be honest, I kinda think I ran out of options, so if theres a nuclear option I`d take it, attached are pictures of how the game looks, the settings are to Low.
Could you try disabling your Steam Cloud saves, and then deleting your AppData if you haven’t already?:
Navigate to your Steam library
Right-click Darktide
Select ‘Properties’
On the ‘General’ tab, scroll down to ‘Steam Cloud’
Disable ‘Keep game saves in the Steam Cloud for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’
Then, delete your AppData…:
NOTE: This will reset any custom keybindings.
Press the Windows key + R
Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
Navigate to: AppData\Roaming\Fatshark
Delete the entire ‘Darktide’ directory
You will then need to use the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ option, which is accessible via the Steam client and will ensure the installation is complete.
Right-click Darktide in your Steam library sidebar
Select ‘Properties’
Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
Select the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ button
When complete, close and reopen Steam
In the event this doesn’t work, would you be willing to experiment by rolling back to the previous driver version? Which GPU are you using?
Thanks for the reply!, unfortunately it didnt work, and I can’t roll back the driver because I did a clean installation of the new driver, I’m using a NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060 6GB
Right, so this is a continuation of my last topic (I didn’t get any return on it), TLDR: updated driver, game looked bad and had bad frames, did a lot of things to try to fix it, didn’t work, got asked to disable cloud saves, delete the directory and verify files, did that and didn’t get a return , after that I formatted my PC, didn’t fix it entirely, now the game plays without bad frame rate(Mostly), but the visuals still look bad, I tried to re-do the whole “disable cloud saves, delete the directory and verify files” thing again, also didn’t work… anything I can still do at all?
No problem and thanks for the return!, found the old driver and did a clean install and it didn’t work, also did the whole “disable cloud saves, delete the directory and verify files” procedure again, but it also didn’t fix anything, any more ideas?
I’m not having crashes, I’m having visual issues, the lighting is really bad and some textures are failing to load properly (I think, they look really bad), isthe game is supposed to look like this on low?
question, since I updated the driver, could it be that the game automatically changed the visual setting(s) to accomodate it?, like could it have changed the “optimal setting” I get on startup?
hmm changing the setting to higher didn’t fix it, here’s how it looks and with the settings i’m using, anything out of order settings wise that could be causing the issue?
