This is the store today… THIS, it looks ugly is soo damn unappealing, i was planning (as every 2 weeks or so) to see if i liked some piece of any armor to buy, any new weapon skin that looked cool (apart from them droping so rarely, most of them are camos or ugly/boring skins), but no, i just find myself like most of the other days that skins have droped… disappointed.
I had planned to buy Space Marine 2 standard edition and save some money to buy darktide skins, but forget it i’ll buy SM2 ULTRA edition instead, at least they have promised to give Dark Angels skins next season (and more chapters/weapons skins in the coming seasons), and there is no lore excuse of why we can’t have cool skins, we literally have like 3 comissar hats, why there is no cool looking Bolter skins, is the damm bolter how it doesn’t have like 5 golden/silver “variants” skins with a ton load of seals and candles?
How do you think the community made them revisit crafting? It’s a completely valid thing to do, tedious though it might be.
As far as cosmetic themes go, going against the tone and premise of the game with regiment specific sets is one thing, but to feed us stuff like this in between those drops is not something I personally find appetizing at all. For all the different sets that are out there, there’s hardly any that are actually in line with the context in which our characters find themselves. Why that is is anyone’s guess but bad judgement is something of a specialty of FS so there’s always that.
Ok but this is just not a good thing to do, its the reason current gaming is in such a horrible state. Dont preorder and dont buy something for the promise that they will give you the item
“sometime in the future”, people buying into these kinds of scams is the reason “release now, fix later” and “cut up the full game and release it in dlc form” kind of $hit became standard practice…

This roadmap is just as trustworthy as the one fatshark released for darktide.
Let that information sink in : you are paying them more money for a chance that they MIGHT give you some more stuff in the future (they didnt even give you any date). Legally they are not obligated to actually give you any of it, because of that “calendar subject to change” text.
If you didn’t catch the theme of these as they are based on lore inspiration (Throneside Nobility) and how also Rogue Traders share the similar aesthetics of romantic period clothing with cyber-augmetics in the mix that was what they chose to present. Imo not ugly its just more eccentric than some recognize what exists in WH40K universe lol
We will see other things come in another two weeks, my wait for a new Commissar great coat has been a major wishlist want, especially since I have three different Commissar/command caps. I been playing since November/December 2023 yet missed my chance prior to get any of the coats prior

In both you pay in advance for content you MIGHT receive in the future.
In both you do not know the quality of the products you might or might not receive, as such you have no legal case if the “super awesome sword TM” advertised is made of plastic.
They hold all the cards, and if you give them your money you are their bi**h.
Because, both the game advertisements and the “roadmaps” have that 1 lovely line that will always save them in court “not representative of the final product”.
Gotta love modern gaming.
reminds me of the battlefield premium they used to have…they’d always have 2 decent expansions for the first half, then peter out into crap for the last. In battlefield 1 the Apocalypse DLC didn’t even get an Operations of its own, instead being swapped with Air Superiority mode that was just asset pulling from campaign…Totally over paying extra for those games up front. Especially when they go on sale all the time when they’re finally done.
That was just my statement, but if i like i can wait to the skins to release (and dark angels skins had allready been inplemented in trailers and gampeplays, so i have at least some confidence they are in the game) and then buy the season pass. And to be honest i prefer SP2 way cosmetics are inplemented instead of the fomo atraction that we have on darktide.
at least it’s not a heap of recolors again (except for psyker where i have the jacket in black already… i have lots of parts from many sets and use to combine them, as buying everything with 4 classes gets expensive). got the vet helmet, and iirc there wasn’t anything similar yet.
