last summer i bought an brand new pc with an realy good graphic card at the curent market with an good cpu and having an 4k monitor with 144hz and still get around 80 to 70 fps during an match even i lowed most of the lighthing settings i i saw an video that the person get like around 240 fps he use an nivda card i dont know what i did wrong with my graphic options in darktide and i get alot of frame drops while bein in the hub or during an match i dont know wich settings are best to use
I have a i5-8600 CPU @ 3.10GHz with 12GB DDR4 and a RTX 4070 Ti
I have everything on low with DLSS on and the game looks pretty good and runs well although Iv never logged what my fps is I suspect its around 40 to 50 fps dropping to maybe 25 when turning.
I suspect the person who gets 240fps has a computer that costs more than I earn in a year and then some.
the pc i bought did cost alot of money i dont even understand how an person with an nivdia graphic card can out performce me and the rx 7800 tx is not that old and most darktide settings vids on youtube are more an year and 2 outdated or they only focued on nivdia and not amd
Do you know the settings they use? Also what are their specs? Their processor etc
How much are we talking? Whats your processor? Your ram? Your HDD or SSD?
Im really bad at making sure all my componants work together properly, I just cobble stuff together, but I do know it only takes one single bottleneck in a computer to cause issues with many games.
This game is more cpu demanding, u might need a better cpu, or try installing fsr3 mod, cause people with nvidia gpu 40’s have frame gen and that could be the reason for their higher fps.
Iv not tried to max my settings since I first played (now a year ago? idk!) because it really didnt run well and I was streaming too which cut my fps even more. I was getting around 25fps max and my stream was really bad, something like 15fps or so. With DLSS on and lowish settings it actually looked great and ran great. DLSS is frikking good imo.
Right now Im getting a pretty stable 72fps (as u can see I limit it to 72) although I do get a bit of screen tear when I move my view quickly and widely. This is likely due to my processor not quite being hot shizzle (just decently warm shizzle) and my TV, literally a TV, a Samsung UE55N17172U, and only 12GB ram, are likely my chokepoints.
Here are some pictures of my settings because Im lazy:
Im gonna try max settings again and see how it runs, I will report back.
The more info you give the better someone may help. I would love to squeeze more out of my rig but again, Im lazy af and I tend to settle with whatever settings give me a decent fps because I started gaming on the commodore 64, so its easy for me to accept shmittier graphics. At least thats what I tell myself.
I hope this helps you compare. If you post more info @BlackwinterStorm then hopefully someone can help better than me.
