I just had a pub game where 2 people where displaying a high amount of toxicity, yelling in vocal chat , getting killed on purpose and I told them to calm down, they started to call me the N-word and making gorilla noises. At the very end of the map (in the evac shuttle) they continued to insult me with the n-word and said “bye bye” and votekicked me. That’s 40 min lost withtout any reward and it’s really frustrating I don’t have hours to play at the end of my day.
Oh and btw, they don’t appear in my "recent game partners " in steam so I can’t block them, were they playing on xbox ?
That really sucks. Are you able to give the devs a rough time that you were playing? They can probably look through your match history and find the people who did it.
Well I just posted this message when I got kicked because I’m very frustrated about it (not blaming the devs or anything) I remember the most toxic one was “Hugh-something-something” I’m sorry I can’t tell more since I can’t see whom I played with.
there should be a thing preventing this kind of behavior.
PS: I know it happens everyday in gaming, but I have like 2 hours to play at the end of the day and losing 40 min like this without any cmpensation for something I can’t control is very frustrating (I was playing on the NA servers, but I’m from europe so maybe those peopel were triggered by my accent i don’t know)
That’s three strikes. Next time you reach that, just leave the game and block them immediately.
Oh, and say nothing to them. Deny them any pleasure.
Something doesn’t add up, cause two people in full party can’t kick.
Put in a support ticket, time, date, details you remember. Also see if you can locate your console log files around the period of time. That may help narrow it down.
Here’s a link to how to get your console logs:
Sorry that it happened to you. I’ve diffidently seen some and heard some toxic poop while playing, but for me it’s pretty rare.
@FatsharkCatfish Is there any official, or best practices on how to report this sort of thing?
They can if you have 1 bot, or one of their friends… or if the 3rd player is a complacent idiot. I had a match a few months ago where one jerk was spamming vote kick for 1 player who wasn’t that good, but not abysmal. Back when it blocked your screen. I kept voting no, cause it didn’t warrant it. He was staying out of the airlock, and no one could get into the social menu to kick since he was spamming it… After like 2 minutes he decided to vote kick me, and everyone voted yes. :-/ And I assume soon after vote kicked the guy he was going after to start with. It was bonkers.
This on its own is a bootable offence. Accept the vote and move on, or leave.
It also shouldn’t be possible to even instantiate another round of voting after the first one fails.
It happens. You just gotta be a big boy and insult them back! Don’t let people bully you, you gotta stand up for yourself!
Their name (on the platform they are playing on or of their character) can also be use useful sometimes!
As I said, can’t remember their name since I got kicked and they don’t appear in my “recent played with” category on steam
