This is just a meme at this point, literally have to almost buy a weapon from brunt 150 times to get ONE over 375 quality, this is just stupid, I feel like ever since patch 13 the quality that I get from brunt, that spawns in the shop and that I get from emperor’s gifts are also utter garbage like 300-315.
You can see out of the 150 weapons, the average quality is 334, come on fatshark, this is just sad.
Edit: It’s even worse that when you realize if this is the intended experience, then it’s absolute pain for people without the auto buy and discard mod, imagine having to buy it 150 times, then discarding every single one manually as well because there’s no multi select.
Imagine having to re-roll perks 300-600 times until you get the level 4 damage type you wanted? Hah. Thank goodness that never happened!
*edit add - I went back and found posts on this exact topic going back to February. Likely beyond. If FS have the idea that actually anything 360+ is usable, then just make everything for lvl 30s L360 rather than having a disparity in player power. I don’t get it.
I honestly can’t see why they wouldn’t, like I got each class at like lvl 200, I’m nearing 900 hours, and still I get dogtier trash 300 rating items.
The only reason I could possibly see to keep the ratings so artificially low is because they want to introduce red items like in vermintide with perfect modifiers.
Or just make like scripts / grims more valuable by making them improve the rating of the emperor’s gift, ala vermintide again I guess.
200h here, got 8 280 weapons, few with 2 t4 perks… It feels ok for me, and i dont search activly for good weapons, i just chill killing heretics in t4/t5
One the one hand I have to agree, it also is ok for me personally, I dont bother with crafting except to upgrade a weapon I suddenly like, but I tend to hang around t3 pubs and will progress to t4-5 when I feel like it.
However, for people that enjoy crafting and min-maxing builds, I can easily see how the crafting system is uber-trash.
Personally I sometimes go in with alot of motivation.
Thinking “Oh yeah, I’m gonna try this weapon/build”, then I go to Brunt, roll about 50 weapons, wasting most of my money and either I just ALT F4 or I get a weapon that is at least 350+, then I go to hadron… And in 99% of the time I ALT F4 after hadron bricks the weapon.
And so my motivation is gone for the next 3-5 days.
Great player retention!
